Bad idea? Naw. Nothin’s a bad idea. Amelia continued to look over the fence. Now listen, on tha count o’ 3, you distract them, an’ I rush in, aight?

“Ma'am, I’m not to sure about this–” he ducked suddenly to avoid a bystander’s gaze. God, if someone saw them…

His voice morphed into a hoarse whisper. “What if we get caught?”

That ’s when we start runnin’! Her smile widened greatly. ‘Sides, gettin’ caught is the most excitin’ part. She looked back at him. Ready?

“As I’ll ever be,” he said, squinting over the fence once again. On the other side, it was a mess of police tape and cameras– things he usually would rather avoid. He really didn’t know what she had in plan, and honestly didn’t want to get caught up in this crime business. But he couldn’t refuse a lady, especially when she had asked so nicely.

Ducking back down, he nodded at her, tight smile spread across his face. “Aight. Let’s do this.”

1, 2, she made a pause as she scanned the area, 3! Amelia jumped the fence and sprinted, as stealthily as possible while doing so, to the closest covered area to the police tape. She didn’t look back to see what Elijah was doing until then.

In a second, Amelia was gone. Elijah followed suit, long limbs making his climb easy. He dropped down with a loud grunt, purposely snapping a twig underfoot.

He stumbled towards the nearest figure, who was watching him with some curiosity. A short, drama filled syllable left his lips-- "Help..."

And he collapsed, dramatically, fighting hard to keep the natural bright smile off his face. The man nearby let out a swearword, rushing forward along with most of his colleagues to help. The vampire felt someone take his pulse- the poor kid. They would find nothing there, him being undead and all. He hoped they'd be alright, after this surprise.

Either way, the distraction was a complete sucess.

Yo man some vamps are pretty chill and stuff y'know?

“Name or introduce one  vamp that is ‘chill’ to me please, so I can be the judge of that? cause most vampires I’ve seen are all aggresive and stuff”

Avatar

“Hey there! Name’s Eli.” The vampire smiled widely, eyes crinkling at the corners as he held out a hand to the vampire hunter. He seemed remarkably unbothered, considering the fact this vampire hunter might kill him. “Not all of us are bloodthirsty monsters, I promise. “Ive been told that I am, in fact, ‘chill’, by most standards. So! How do you do?”

He extended his own hand to the vampire “Hello, I’m Richard and I am quite good, what about you Mister Eli?”

“I’m great as well!” Elijah’s hand felt cold to the vampire hunter. “Nice to meet you, Mister Richard!” He was still smiling, almost creepily.

“Real glad you didn’t try and stake me the minute you laid eyes on me, too. Not a lot of vampire hunters do that, you know.”

“I sometimes give some people 2nd chances, When well I think they deserve them and most vampires tend to attack whenever they see a stake or something”

“Ah, yeah. I get where you’re comin’ from. A few of those younger ones, they’re pretty afraid of stakes.” “I wonder why?”

“Most people are afraid of death, like myself so it is instinct”

His smile wavered for a moment, then he nodded. “Yep! Death is a pretty scary thought. Just think about that next time you get into a fight with a vampire!”

“We’re more scared than you are~”

“Yeah, since there is a murderer on the loose, and trust me that fight with a vampire sometimes comes when you’re most relaxed or not expecting an attack or something.”

“Mm… I’ve heard about him. The murderer. The poor girl was so young, too. And that jester? Such a shame… he was just going through a tough time.”

“Mhmm, They both didn’t deserve death so early”

“but I think everyone is young to you”

“Heheh. Right again, on that part.” He scratched the back of his head sheepishly. “You’ve got me all figured out, don’t ya, Richard?”
