I've had enough of society being catered to morning people.. it's time for everything to be pushed back like two hours

Cannot STAND to watch parents embarrass themselves but just being constantly annoyed by their children who are just being children.

I watched my neighbor get her two children out of the car. One of them stopped to look at the ground (her shoe? A rock?) and the mom immediately said “get up, girl.” She them got to the door and held it open, and one of the children was a couple steps behind. The mom groaned “come on. Come on. COME ON.” In the space of just a couple seconds.

Can you fucking? Imagine treating an adult that way. Holding the door for your friend who is a couple steps behind and instantly snapping at them? The fuck?

Parents will start screaming at a child for some innocuous behavior and then act like the child is the one being embarrassing in public.

i know parents of small children have a lot of shit to deal with and are prolly sleep deprived as all hell and hangry ALL the time… but on the flipside this reminded me of a mom i saw the other day taking her kid to school on a sunny day and the kid was carrying this umbrella and the mom was like “will you put that thing away” and the kid was like “it’s raining!” (he knew it wasn’t raining, he was just pretending that it was raining, i guess that’s how he has fun?) and the mom’s response was “it absolutely is not” as if she hated that kid with all her body & soul

this reminds me of those back to school commercials where the parents are so excited to get rid of their kids again they gleefully buy their school supplies, they genuinely piss me because if you really think about how much time do parents spend with their kids actually? between school, clubs, sports, etc maybe 4hrs a day during the school year? and they have two months to really enjoy time with their kids and they can’t wait to get rid of them. people just really hate their kids

Too many people, I think, have kids just because they feel like that’s what you’re “supposed” to do, without any evaluation of their fitness as a parent.

I mean, I love kids. Kids are awesome little weirdos. But I know I as a person lack the maturity needed to be a parent.

Not just in fictional settings, though.

Normal human interactions have become toxic or problematic or 'traumatic'. Fighting is not allowed, screaming is not allowed, being in a bad mood is not allowed. You just snapped at your partner because you had a shitty day and they annoyed you? Well, you're an abuser now. You're a manipulator. You're probably a narcissist, too. You caused them trauma, they will develop 5+ mental illnesses now, based on the abusive, toxic relationship you two had.

People used to fight, make up or talk it out and it was fine. You know what's toxic? Always being proper and sweet and in a good mood. Living in fear you might become problematic if you ever show your feelings. Oh, the trauma.

social media has really warped our perception of creativity and hobbies. Stop doing things to post them. Just write. Just journal. Just sketch. Just read. Just annotate. Just sing. Just crochet. Just do the thing you’re going to do with the assumption no one will ever see or know you did it. Stop performing. Just enjoy it.
