The SNK 40th Anniversary Collection is a preservationist’s preservationist collection. It’s a collection of very old, very early SNK games, pre-Neo Geo era. Games that haven’t been ported anywhere else or are often forgotten. It’s filled to the brim with games and concept art. There’s also the Contra Collection and two Castlevania collections, one that’s more focused on their more classic titles and another that’s just the two most held-up Castlevania games, Rondo of Blood and Symphony of the Night, in one package. Rondo of Blood in particular, wasn’t brought over to the west at all originally. It’s only release outside of Japan was on a PSP remake of it, so this is, outside of emulation, pretty much the only way to play one of the best Castlevania games out there.
