The idea of standing in a meadow always bought peace to my mind and I had the thought of painting this out about 3 years ago. After many changes and developments to a rough idea I have finally finished this painting. I hope you all like it as much as I do :)

that's how a piece of art is born🖌️

when I wake, my expression is open, eyes wide. I stand still, stuck in resigned exhaustion. a place between remembering I’m awake and lying in bed dreaming. like there isn’t a difference at all and I’ve only just realized it.

it takes years to develop your craft. do not romanticize the idea of an ‘overnight success’. be a student. grow organically. get really good. hate your work. start over. find new ways to express the same ideas. the student becomes the master. your time will come.
