ok, so i just bought the ultra analysis book but i dont speak japanese so i was flipping thru translations for monomas page and i was wondering if you had any thoughts abt (trans from oriigami) " He sees Class A as opposition, and holds a strong disdain for them. But sometimes, ever since Class A’s festival, he’s come away with a bad taste in his mouth… It’s strange."? i cant tell if the festival is referring to jirous performance or...?

oh!!! uhhh i think that might be a mistranslation actually ;; looking at the page here:

The text reads:

A組に対し、強い対抗心を持っている。時々、A組の寮にまで入って来ては嫌味をぶちまけて帰って行く…。奇行である。

While the first part of the translation is accurate (”He sees Class A as opposition, and holds a strong disdain for them.”), I think that there was a little mistake when reading the kanji for “dorms” 寮, as it looks somewhat like the kanji for “festival” 祭. It was a small and easy-to-make mistake, but it changes the meaning of the sentence quite a bit.

The line is actually talking about how he goes to the Class A dorms just to badmouth them sometimes haha.

how’s romeo and juliet coming along?

HI SORRY I’VE BEEN DEAD FOR LIKE 3 YEARS IDK WHY I WAS JUST BUSY I GUESS??? i don’t really have an excuse since i was active on twitter and i’m literally ALWAYS busy but asodifjas

i was wondering if people still wanted me to do this with the official translation out?? i can if ppl rly want me to but i feel like it doesn’t make a whole lot of sense since the people who translated the book are probably a lot more experienced and knowledgeable about the language than me and adofijas ;;;;

but if you want me to still lmk?? i’d been planning on doing it a couple weeks ago but the translation came out like RIGHT at the same time so i was like ?? ok maybe i’ll focus on something else? and then i lost myself in a writing void for 3000 years

and I ALSO updated my monoshin ghost au angst fest a week ago!!! i genuinely care about the quality of this story and take it mostly seriously unfortunately so i’m probably never gonna post ms paint monstrosities alongside it. i don’t know if i should be apologizing or saying your welcome but. it is what it is i guess lmao.

in this chapter we get!! shinso’s funeral and monoma in the hospital after getting stabbed!! both very fun things i’m sure you’ll agree!!

a cute, fun excerpt:

Monoma had intended on saying goodbye. He’d outlined a speech that he was sure wouldn’t leave a single dry eye in the house, gone over it repeatedly, practiced giving it alone in his apartment so many times that he was confident he’d be able to disassociate and get it all out before the weight of what he was doing ruined it all by making him cry in front of a crowd of people.
Monoma had intended on saying something for Shinso at the funeral.
But he hadn’t.
When he got to Shinso’s casket, when he put his hand on it and felt for himself how cold it was, how hard and smooth, as if it was made of stone instead of wood—as if it was death itself—he realized that it wasn’t enough. Nothing Monoma could possibly say would ever even come close to being enough for Shinso. And so, at a loss, he closed his mouth.

✨ PLEASE WELCOME OUR WONDERFUL NEWCOMERS TO THE ZINE ✨

As we were finishing up pre-orders in January, we realized that due to circumstances, we had room for a few more contributors who could bring something of their own to the zine. We decided to bring on some new people. We wound up with ten more artists and one new writer, who we are very, very proud to announce.

Every one of these contributors have turned their pieces in already and our book has now been sent to the printer!

💜 Please welcome our newcomers, who joined this project a bit later than others did, but have brought their own world of new and exciting content to our zine! 💜

We’re very grateful to have every one of our contributors with us and every single one of them has produced beautiful work. This zine wouldn’t have been possible without them!

Please stay tuned for more surprises we have for this week!

A preview of my piece for @kirishimazine!! I wrote a story about Kirishima’s evolving definition of manliness and how he relates it to himself as he grows up!! It was so much fun being able to write a story where I could write about so many different points in Kirishima’s life!!!

If it seems like something you’d be into, or if you just love Kirishima in general, you should give the zine a look!! You won’t be disappointeddd

(also thank you again to @otawritesthings  for letting me use your template!!!)

I’m finally posting my second piece from @blackguardfanzine, centered around Jiro!! This was a collab based off of the wonderful pic at the end of this link! (Or, you could also find it by checking out the zine itself, too, which like I’ve said before is available online totally free and has a ton of rly cool villain aus!)

Something’s off today. She feels it in the rhythm of their stamping feet, the chaotic white noise interspersed by shallow, stuttering rests, like hiccups in the crowd.
Time passes like it doesn’t exist as she contemplates them, but before she can quite figure it out, her drummer peeks around the top of the stairs.
“We’re up in ten.”
She sighs, glances down at her cigarette to find it ashes on her fingers, and flicks the butt to the ground with the others as she pushes herself up. A familiar tension on the air makes the short hairs on the back of her neck prickle as she slings her guitar over her shoulder, but it’s not until she’s climbed the stairs and is standing at the edge of the stage that she finally puts a name to it.
