all i'm saying is that sexy people isolate themselves from everyone and listen to music, read books and sleep to avoid their problems because existing in general is unbearable.

#me waking up in a literal depression haze every morning not being able to process the fact that i have to get up and go to work#like hands shaky suicidal thoughts spiraling stomach on nauseous#and iβm like tripping over my words trying to apologize and look like i have it together#and he just gives me that soft little smile and slides his hand around the back of my neck and strokes my cheek#and he just has this steadfast unwavering confidence in me telling me things are going to get better#but heβs not too worried about them getting better right away#which makes me feel so much better#that he just lets me be sad and frustrated for a little bit and just holds me close until i can face the real world#what did i do to deserve him#never in my life have i been treated like this#makes me dinner and literally carries me to bed when i fall asleep on the couch because βitβs past my bedtime#he has a much higher sex drive than me but has never ever pressured me#which is like the bare minimum but still#compared to the other boys iβve been with β¦#kinda wild#everyone who meets him falls in love with him instantly#like how can you not heβs like a book character#but heβs mine π

Severance is about rebellion, about people who were literally created to obey finally questioning and breaking through that conditioning. Thereβs a storyline about someone doing a complete 180 and choosing to rebel when they realise they have a child that theyβre not allowed to see, and I love that the storyline wasnβt given to the female lead, but to a previously comic male character. Thereβs a storyline about breaking protocol because for the first time ever you have fallen in love, in intense, overwhelming, impossible love, and I love that the storyline wasnβt given to the female lead, but to a pair of awkward old guys. The storyline about grief and guilt also goes to a guy, to the male lead.
I love that the female lead is the only one whose radicalisation comes entirely from within, the person motivating her is her, sheβs not doing it for anyone else, she wants her freedom, and failing that, she wants bloody revenge even at the cost of utter self-destruction.
