I cannot be found here and because of people harassing me and basically stalking me, I am not going to disclose my current location in the fear that these people will try and locate me once more. I am happy, I am safe and that is all you need to know.

Jack emerged from the bathroom having changed into one of Jeremy’s t-shirts that Valerie had managed to find him, claiming it was the only clean thing Jeremy owned. Naturally, Jack had to go and be clumsy and spill his drink all over his shirt.

“Thank you. I cannot believe I did such a thing.” Jack said as he sank down onto the couch. He propped his legs back up on the coffee table and sank down into the cushions, folding his arms over the other, not even thinking about the fact that they were now exposed.

Valerie could feel the panic beginning to set in. She wouldn’t allow Jack to figure this out on her own. How could she? There had to be a reason the visions had filled her mind all throughout the night. She needed to help him, whether or not her visions came into play in all of this mess. He was her friend. Hell, he was her only friend and she cared about him deeply. It took everything within her not to let on just how much she cared, only because she feared that she’d complicate matters.
“Jack, I understand your concern and you know I appreciate it but this isn’t something I can ignore. You could be in serious trouble, and if those men find you, I…” She trailed off, averting her gaze. She didn’t want to frighten him any more than he probably had been. “You’re right. They don’t have to know about me… But we can use that to our advantage, Jack. I can help you. I know I can…” She pleaded, holding tightly to his hand. “You have to trust me.”

Jack absently brushed his thumb against hers as he focused on a spot on the wall, mulling this over. It was one thing if something happened to him. He’d gone prying where he shouldn’t have been. He was asking for trouble.
But if something happened to her....innocent, sweet Valerie.....
He shook his head and stopped moving his thumb upon realizing what he was doing and offered a bashful smile at her. “There is no need to get all worked up right now, is there? Forgive me. I....lost myself for a moment.” he said. Aside from Leslie, there wasn’t really anyone Jack let in. He’d built those walls high, and with good reason in his eyes.
She’d pried her way, slowly and surely and he was glad she was there. If there was anyone he wanted to do anything with, it would be her. “Thanks, Val.” Jack said softly.
