Towards the light Someone is waiting for me.. Somewhere in this world . 光に向かって行く 僕らを待っている誰かがいる この世界のどこかで
Last month I visited Paris for the first time. I feel like I’ve heard a lot of sweeping generalizations about French people being rude, detesting speaking English to tourists, etc.. but nearly all of the Parisians I encountered were warm and friendly, and I absolutely loved the flavor and energy of this beautiful city.
I had a bit of a whirlwind trip, flying to Venice, Paris, and Rome + a train to Verona in about a week and a half. I don’t think I could pick a favorite among these cities, I enjoyed them all, but Paris was the place I felt the most “at home” and comfortable ❤️

Giardino delle Cascate
Apparently this park in Rome’s EUR district closed shortly after it opened in 1961 and remained closed until last year. I believe this particular area was still closed off, as I found no way to get to the walking path just beyond this waterfall besides hopping over a fence. Perhaps the large gate I entered the park through was accidentally left open.
There are at least three manmade waterfalls in this park. A cool Parisian / Australian guy who sat next to me on a flight from Paris recommended I check out the EUR district for its unique architecture from the fascist era. Thanks Vaz! This was a nice afternoon getaway from the all the tourist hotspots.
@ Gelato Paolessi in Rome. Yum!
