"Hello Starlight dearest. How have I missed you.~"
"Harmony!” Starlight dropped her book and glasses from beneath the tree and threw her arms around the tale, tree-like unicorn before her. “I missed you!”
She smiles ever so contently, looking down at Starlight, before returning the hug by wrapping her arm around the smaller pony.
“I am glad. I was afraid you may have forgotten about little old me...~” She teased softly.
“How has life been treating you, my dear Starlight? What wondrous things has my little pony wish to share, hmm?~”
She said, gently stroking the mane of the mare.
I’ve been taking more time for myself and my mental health to recharge and recover at the moment. I still want to finish some of my older sketches once I get my head in a better place and my energy back. Until that happens, I thought I could at the very least share a WIP expression sheet for an old character of mine named Harmony, an MLP oc based off the Tree of Harmony in the show.
Dear Harmony do you play chess or checkers?
“Ah yes, I have played checkers and chess. Took me a bit of time to learn the basics, shortly after I was able to move about more but in a short time I have become rather skilled in it.~”

Harmony was singing to herself as she looked up at the night sky, staring at the moon and admiring the beauty and grace it brought, knowing well Luna never disappoints when she always comes up with a means for her canvas.
Her ears flickered as she was sure she heard someone coming. Perhaps her singing attracted them? She would turn her head slowly and simply smile at the visitor.
“I take it my singing was carried by the wind, hmm?~”
"Greetings Cadance. So wonderful to see you after so long, dear.~"
“Oh, heeeey, Harmony! What’s been poppin’! Um, that’s slang for what’s going on. Hehe, trying to stay up.”
She gave the Element Unicorn a song wing hug.
“I agree, it’s been much too long. Would you like to sit and stay for tea maybe? Or, uh, coffee?”
Harmony giggled softly as she wraps a hoof around the pink alicorn and returned the hug.
“I have been doing well dear. Have had a lot of time to myself and keeping busy, as well as keeping with the trends of the modern era, believe it or not. And yes, I would love some tea please.~”
“No doubt, we can chat with how things been in our lives as of recently.~”
“Well that is true, how do you know if I am really a figment of your own imagination? After all dear, I am a being who doesn’t need to sleep.”~

“How about I accompany you as you go about your duties in the Dreamscape? Perhaps my presence could help you when dealing with any nightmares that may plague anyone tonight?~”
❝ yes, you are dreaming. no, i am not another figment of your imagination — unless such presumption is of comfort, then i shall join in the pretense. ❞

"Happy Mother's day Aunt Celestia, Aunt Luna," Cadance smiles hugging them both. Flowers, sweets, and two hoofmade card with flurry's scribbles, floats around her. Lastly a scrapbook of the memories Cadance had with each of them. (From Cady @deepandtrue)
Both Celestia and Luna simply smiled and returned the embrace their niece gave them, feeling a strong sense of happiness from the gesture, both gently nuzzling Cadance.
“And a wonderful Happy Mother’s Day to you, dear Cadance. I hope you and little Flurry Heart had a wonderful day together.~”
The two sisters accepted the gifts their Cadance gave them, chuckling softly at the cards little Flurry Heart made for them.
True, Luna may have not have known Cadance the longest in comparison to Celestia, but the thought of still being thought as a maternal figure to the Love Princess still touched the night princess’s heart.
“Indeed. And we thank you for these gifts dear niece. We are most blessed to have you as one of our own.”
The siblings take a look within the scrapbook, seeing the different pictures of the times they all shared together, smiling fondly at the memories they shared over the years.
The two hope that they would continue to share more memories as time moves forward.
I hope everyone, ponies and beyond, have a wonderful Mother’s Day today.~
Go show her how much in the world you mean to her, and give thanks for being there for when you needed her most.~

“Oh, it is alright my dear Rainbow Dash. Granted, it was rather adorable the way you just plopped down on me without much thought.~”
The spirit simply giggled.
“I can’t really help for being a soft and cuddly spirit. Besides, it is welcoming when one of my bearers come by, and keep this old mare company.~”
“yeah, i suppose i really needed the sleep,” she answered with a nervous chuckle as she kept hovering above the spirit. “but, if you really want my company i can stay around a bit longer, i don’t have anything to do this afternoon.”
she did have to bring a thunderstorm in later but not until the evening, so she had a few hours to kill, and even though she wanted to spend those hours sleeping, she’d more happily spend them with harmony.
“what exactly are you up to?”
“Wonderful.~”
The spirit said with a serene smile.
“As for what I am doing. I am simply wandering about the forest to ensure all is well and nothing is out of place. Having tended to the Everfree for the past thousand years, I have see that all forms of fauna grow here: plants, animals, the weather...”~
“Ever since I began to move about in this form, the chaotic nature the forest held has since been quelled and the Everfree can be a more... peaceful and safer place. Even if the forest’s more dangerous creatures still dwell deep within, and there is still a lot of the forest I have yet to tend to and venture, my influence has so far kept things in check, but I would still cater to the needs of the creatures that dwell within so they can continue to live, grow new forms of plant life, as well as maintain ones that grew prior to my current state, namely for dear Zecora so she can continue to gather her ingredients for her potion creations, as many of the ingredients she has used for over the years can only be found and grown here.~”
“I do what I can to satisfy everything that dwells within here; as long as they are all happy, then so am I.~”
“Mmm, forgive me. I tend to ramble on a bit... I just enjoy being able to converse with any that come by. As I said, I can be a bit lonely here most days...”

It was the strangest thing for the spirit. Harmony was simply going about her rounds through the forest as usual. Out of nowhere, a certain cyan mare with a rainbow mane just plopped down on her back and just went and snoozed.
She looked at her, but could do nothing but give a gentle smile as she continues to go about her rounds in the forest, allowing Dash to nap on her back. She was aware of her antics of napping on trees and clouds, but the fact she ventured into the Everfree just to end up napping on her was surprising, a little humorous, but overall welcoming.
Not only that, her bearer of Loyalty was rather adorable when she was asleep. She would just be quiet and careful not to disturb her as she moved about.
That is one benefit of napping on Harmony’s back: she was a mobile, and very soft like a cloud, and gave off such a gentle aura that would ease anyone’s mind.
though harmony was doing her best not to wake rainbow, the pegaus was a light sleeper, she needed to be in the field she was in–needed to be ready for just about anything when the weather changed or needed changing. it was just something that she’s come to be accustomed to over the years.
so, when she felt the other move about, rainbow’s eyes opened to see that she had fallen asleep on the spirits back.
“h-harmonyyyyy,” she voiced with a yawn escaping her throat as she began to stand up–not too long after her wings were holding her above the other. “i didn’t even notice that it was you i had fallen asleep on, sorry about that.”
she could have sworn she had fallen asleep on a tree branch..

now it was odd to see the pegasus on the ground when she took her afternoon nap, but there was something about this certain tree that felt different from the rest. there was some comfort in it as she smiled in her sleep, knowing, somehow that she was safe here even if it was in the everfree forest.
being here, in her heart, was much more enjoyable than being in a cloud–and that was the strangest thing of all.

How Harmony reacts seeing a tree that was struck by lightning and is now burning from the inside-out.
She simply places a hoof on the tree, feeling the warmth of it as the gentle flames and embers burn the inside, and nods her head giving a sad smile. She could only feel the pain it was likely in, and only try to comfort it.
Harmony has many things.
Harmony has the Stare.
It’s like Fluttershy’s... just more powerful, and she doesn’t have to do much to make an otherwise disobedient creature, even enough to ignore Fluttershy’s Stare...
This includes Discord.

Harmony is the most gentle spirit that exists in Equestria. Why the ever living hell would you want to hurt her, you f’ing monster? If she was truly defeated, balance in Equestria would tip and chaos would ensue... and not the kind Discord brings about.
Conclusion.
Don’t harm the Tree Pone.
