THIS a lot of people seemed to fundamentally misunderstand the situation with Rogue Gambit and Magneto especially in the Xmen 97 show.

if i may rant

A lot of people had the same sentiments when Rogue was first interacting with Magneto that is "He gives her what she needs." but the thing is he doesn't, he is able to give her what she wants and that the disconnect a lot of watchers have alongside Rogue.

Due to what she has been denied by her powers and how society places so much on psychical intimacy, Rogue has it in her head that she NEEDS it but its not a need its a want. She wants to be able to touch others but what she actually needs is what we all really need emotional intimacy.

And this is what Gambit has always understood because he has had the sort of relationships where its just psychical and found it lacking. The problem with their relationship in both shows and early comics is that Rogue is afraid Gambit will get tired of her because of the lack of psychical touch and will be left truly heartbroken, its a defense.

All she really has with Magneto is lust and Rogue kinda knows that. They have very little in common aside from pyshicality and some goals. I mean so much of his pitch to her is focused on what SHE does for HIM its a very shallow relationship. (also pretty sure every relationship that man has platonic or otherwise is ruined because he's unable to put anyone before his goals)

SO in that episode when she's in a sense breaking up with him that conversation is more about Rogue convincing herself that this is the right choice that its what's best, that its what she needs. But its not and she realizes that when she tries to force herself into a life she not only doesn't want but doesn't need.

This is a behind the scenes from a TV show. He’s the guy who plays the character whose gravestone it is. He’s mad that people are memeing a behind the scenes photo of a fictional character’s death because he happens to play that character.

I’m not sure if I should laugh or hit my head on the desk over this one.

My favourite part that this is leaving out is that by the end he and the rest of the cast weren’t getting along and they did a full on photoshoot in front of his grave.

the care & attention to detail in these drawings...& the little snippets of Senshi's thoughts on the adventure...this is such a cool and endearing little piece of characterization for Senshi. also
