The 2019 ACA (Affordable Care Act) enrollment period has been shortened from 90 days to 45 days (November 1-December 15, 2018) and the advertising budget to promote open enrollment has been slashed in an effort to sabotage the program. You’re probably not seeing a lot of advertising (read: zero) about the enrollment window online or on TV.

Hii, it’s Bunni here! My family and I aren’t doing so well at the moment. My dad was fired from his job as a parking attendant last month. Since then, we’ve gone to great lengths to try and get him another job. We’ve applied him for every single job you can think of using a digital resume (Via http://indeed.com) I created for him online. As a CDL driver, TLC driver, (he studied for his CDL license exam only to fail it twice), parking vendor, car wash manager, through online job search sites (ZipRecruiter, Indeed, etc). He’s also been doing his fair share of job searching for hours at a time during the past few weeks as well, but, the businesses he’s been to are either not hiring any more workers because their slots are full, or he lacks the experience or skill they’re seeking. Others aren’t offering much money, are quite far from home, or their hours exceed the welfare benefits we receive (bits of $ from Medicaid, Food Stamps, Social Security). Meanwhile, my stay at home mom is struggling to take care of us, a family of five, because of a severe cataract which may leave her blind, as well as, severe joint and bone pain. The aid we receive from such welfare programs isn’t enough! We can’t even purchase nor sustain a weeks worth of food, clothes and supplies, when the rent has now been raised to $1,850 and utility bills are $400 combined. In addition to all that, I have a major birth disability; legal blindness on my left eye. This disability has resulted in my frequent falling down flights of stairs or unlevelled ground. Hence, I’m physically unable to get a job to help out. Because of this, we’re often left hungry, malnourished, fatigued, and caged in. We never seem to manage to do anything other than try and make up for loose ends (over due bills, rent payments, etc) simply because we can’t afford it! We never have enough, and just when we think things are getting better, we realize that we’re missing something of great importance. So, I’ve decided to reach out in hopes that I’ll be able to help my family get by for just a little bit longer. If you can donate anything, and I mean anything, it would be greatly appreciated! adding more to the tag since while I spoke about them protecting their abusive brother who near assaulted me which can be found here in this tag (full of caps ect) I wanted you guys to be aware of the financial scamming nef does on tumblr.
So I wanted to let you guys know beware of this post
After a while I stopped reblogging their tumblr begging post because I knew the situation was a total lie after living with them.
At one point $200 worth of their money went to buying weed. $40 in tarot cards, getting a possible over $100 tattoo which I’m sure you can find them talking about on tumblr or twitter. And more since they have a whole room filled with amazon boxes with things they have bought with your donation money. an if the struggle was really real I don’t think anyone with sense would do this. If they are that much on the poverty line. (trust me they arnt)
I will say living with Nef I have learned a lot of their living situation is exaggerated when they need help and beg for money online. Most of the time they beg for money when they get $600 in ssi, $198-$200 in food stamps and money they get from their partner which can range to $300+ if they ask them.
- Their rent is $200 for a 3 bedroom apartment due to subsidized housing in nyc. Because neferteri king has ssi due to disabilities the subsidized housing is very very low for them.
- Their net bill is sometimes $200. which leaves them with left overs from ssi, money from food stamps and money from their partner.
when I lived with them they even expressed that money isn’t of value to them since they can easily ask their partner to help them. Which made me very weary since they play the I’m struggling fiddle on tumblr to rope in donations when they dont in fact need it.
How do I know this information? I had to know the living situation before I moved in with them because initially I was going to pay rent but they decline I pay rent living with them since their living situation was golden which can be found here me and both my partners know of their money and fiances and how they scam people online.
They will moan and complain online about needing funds when in fact if you do follow nef they will start posting things they bought right after getting donations. And while nothing is wrong with treating your self I think lying to people and making it seem like you are suffering isnt right either. Be warned and weary of scammers on tumblr

Hello everyone!
I decided to make make a leap to improve my financial situation and provide a stable life for my family and my 1 year old son by applying for a coding program. I was accepted into a three month long coding boot camp on a scholarship. The scholarship only covers tuition, not what you need to live off of for three months. I just started a part-time job a few weeks ago, but I will need to quit because the boot camp schedule is Monday-Friday 10:00am-6:00 pm. My husband and I do not currently have daycare, so we just arrange our schedules so either one of us can care for our 1 year old. The boot camp schedule doesn’t leave me any wiggle room to get home in time to switch off with my husband so he can make it to work at night, so he will only be able to work two days a week.
So, I’m asking for help paying for basic necessities, rent, food, diapers and other baby needs.
A little bit ago I made a post explaining our situation before. Here’s super quick recap on our story:
Without going into too much detail, my husband is getting his green card and is undocumented. After a bout with a legal threat, we fear for his safety everyday.
I started a part-time job the first week of February. But even with my part time job, we still struggle to get our bills paid. Our rent and utilities reach $1,800 a month and they stretch us very thin. We now have to go back to living on one income. My husband works a low-wage serving job, so only working two days a week is going to be a real struggle for us.
Which is why I’m just asking for anything at all to help at this point. Any single contribution you make no matter how small will be so so appreciated by not just me but my entire family. Anything that you can give, whether money or baby supplies or whatever will be incredibly helpful during this rough spot.
I completely and totally understand if you yourself are not in the place to give financially, but I just ask that you please reblog this so more people who are willing to help can. Thank you.
I’m going to add a link to my amazon wish list— it only has some necessities and baby items and a few gift cards so we can buy groceries, items for the baby and whatnot, if you feel more comfortable doing that

uuyy hey i haven’t been hangig out on tungr first because of that good ol catastrophic storm leaving me without power or access to the internet and also because people on this website are so ready to jump on anything to turn into a petty squabble (not that twitter, where ive been hanging out, is much better but with the mute and block features + private accounts i can better avoid it)
in general i’ve just been too tired and stressed already to be able to filter or absorb all the negativity in spaces that are supposed to be positive (i.e. ALL the infighting and transphobia in trans spaces, attacking trans men & nonbinary ppl for existing in general LET ALONE having unique experiences) and it’s just so...... bad.

it’s kinda fucked up that bullying is treated like a “soft trauma” or not REALLY a serious kind of trauma/abuse just because the abusers are generally other kids, because it’s honestly so damaging. it stays with you. it fucks with your sense or self, your self-esteem, your ability to trust people and make meaningful relationships.
like yes those bullies ARE kids who generally don’t understand the consequences of their actions and i don’t doubt that most of them grow up not to be awful people but the damage they cause is real and people just………don’t take it seriously
