SO sorry for the lack of replies / activity over the last few weeks. i’ve been in & out of the hospital & now i’m in intensive mental care for a few more days. but once i have free time that isn’t therapy i’ll be around ! thank you so much for your patience.

“Our journey is not a cheerful one, I fear the time for smiles may have long since passed.”

‘ i’m … not sure . ‘ it hadn’t been overnight . tidus had been missing for over half a year now , and yuna hadn’t known where to search for him . part of what he’d said haunted her still , of enjoying the time they had and , she knew : the fayth hadn’t been able to sustain him . yuna sighed heavily , not even bothering to conceal her bereavement ; rikku was family , after all . she could see a side to yuna others seldom did . ‘ oh , right ! hm , i think there’s been a lot of activity in kilika lately about sin sightings . maybe we could begin there ? ‘
she lets the talk of tidus fall -- she doesn’t want her getting upset ! but rikku always had a GUT FEELING that tidus would come back whenever he was gone. she rests her hands on her hips & leans forward towards the other. ❛ sounds like a start to me ! ❜

it is clear by her body language she is terrified, though tidus questions why. everyone had a fear of something. whether it were insects, the dark, the paranormal– chills crawl up their spine to frightening things. when foreign words escape her lips, the blond can’t help but lean forward with a questioning expression. “drah…merk–?” trying his best to duplicate what she spoke, he is interrupted by a language he understands. unable to express further how the lightning harmed her, his head nods sympathetically. there was no sense insisting she continued; it was enough that he asked in the first place.
“rikku,” a hand on his waist is removed, gently resting upon her shoulder. “it won’t be much longer! and until then, i’ll look out for ‘ya!” a blissful expression dresses his visage, hoping that his protective attitude would reassure his friend. “we’ll just stick close to the towers, like lulu said!”
❛ i just. . . NEED A MINUTE. ❜ she’s SHAKING in her shoes -- hands fidgeting nervously in front of her as she does all she can to not CRY. she wanted to be seen as an ADULT -- though she was on the verge of sixteen. it wasn’t FAIR -------------------- they could all dismiss her fear as childish & walk off like nothing mattered. but her fear was her truth --------- she’d respect any of theirs !!
it’s why she’s grateful for tidus. why she moves over to him & leans her forehead against his chest, hands clinging to the fabric of his shirt as she gives a quiet thank you. ❛ you’re a good friend. yuna is very lucky. ❜
‘ there , you are ! sleepyhead , ‘ yuna teased upon finally sighting her younger cousin , eyes beaming a genuine gladness at her appearance . despite many of her original guardians having passed on or were divided by what preoccupied them , yuna felt an inexorable sensation of gratitude that she could still count on rikku . it seemed as though there was still so much to be done , so much to repair in the wake of so much devastation that seemed to plague spira constantly . flouncing over to the fellow al bhed , a rather glad smile adorned her features , one that was excited for what was the come . however , her face fell at the mention of tidus , her lips pursing as yuna’s hands wrung unconsciously together . ‘ i … i don’t know . it’s been a few days , and he just … disappeared . ‘ part of her knew why , even if she didn’t want to say it .
❛ disappeared ? from you ? ❜ rikku’s lips purse -------------------- tidus was practically wrapped around her finger. ❛ where would he go WITHOUT you ? ❜ she puts her hands on her hips before raising one hand to her lips & whistling. she looks around, half expecting tidus to just show up. ❛ huh. . . guess we’ll have to start getting to work without him ! ❜
