🖤🤩✨Memories✨🤩🖤

MERRY CHRISTMAS MEG!! I love you so much and I’m so so grateful for you. I have no idea what I would do without your cheerful memes that you send me everyday with cute puppies or scenes from movies that you know will test my innocence. Thank you for believing in me when I didn’t believe in myself and hyping me up when I’m feeling like I can’t model. Now, I know that I always say that my writing sucks compared to yours, but I didn’t know what else to do since you wouldn’t let me buy you anything bitch!🙄 You’re the most amazing girl I’ve ever known, with the best sense of humor, the best sense of style, and the most amazing hair, like hello, I’m so jealous. Thank you for being my bestie, for knowing me well enough to tell the difference between my sarcasm and my humor, and for just being my rock. I love you Babes. @margaritaris 🖤

Everybody say 2019!”

“2019!!”

“There we go!” Mrs. Thompson says, a satisfied smirk on her face as her son’s “friends” break their poses after they finished taking the picture.

“Can you believe it’s almost the new year already?” Ned says with an adorably mystified look on his face.

“Can you believe we’re at a New Years party at flash’s house and him and Lauren haven’t killed each other yet?” Michelle says with a smirk, causing the group to look over at lauren, who had a sheepish look on her face.

“Look, we’ve made progress, ok? Flash and I are in a better place now and I can refrain from gouging his eyes out the minute he looks my way.” She says with a smile.

“That’s my girl.” Peter winks at her as he wraps his arm around her, causing her to smile and the group to roll their eyes.

“Get a rook, freaks.” Flash grins, staring down lauren as her head turns in his direction.

“Oh, go to hell Eugene!” Lauren retorts as you and Peter pull her over to a couch.

“What happened to progress?” You say with a giggle as lauren begins to laugh. “Oh shut up.” She replies as everyone took a sit on the living room furniture.

“This has been a pretty crazy year.” Peter says, looking at his group of friends.

“So much has happened,” you start, replaying the most memorable moments in your head. “Remember when I found out what that ‘Stark Internship’ really was?”

*****************************************************************************

“Surprise!” You yelled with excitement as suddenly, peter whips around and throws a web towards your hand. In that split second, everything changed.

“W-w-w-w- WHAT THE ACTUAL FU-“ you start to scream as your hand shakes and peter runs his hand through his hair in shock of what’s happening. “Meg what are you doing here?!”

“That’s what you’re going to point out first?! Not the fact that you’re freakin spiderman and you just shot me with your stupid spiderwebs!” “Hey, they’re not stupid!” Peter retorts as you throws your arms up in the air. “ohmygosh.”

“Ok, just have a seat, I guess. We have some things to talk about.” Peter says shaking his head. “Y’know, I would LOVE to, like really, but I can’t help but point out that I’m webbed to the doorknob!” You say, making the action of being unable to pull your hand away from the metal. “Right, sorry I’ll get the-“

**************************************************************************

“Yeah, you terrified me. I thought my secret would be out there, but you finding out lead to Lauren finding out. It made our relationship stronger, and now I have my very own superhero team with all my friends.” Peter says smiling at you. “I’m glad you found out meg, I’m lucky to have you.”

“Damn right you are.” You say with a smile.

“Ok, my turn! How about the time that we were all in detention?” Ned exclaims.

******************************************************************************

“Here we are...detention...the home of delinquents and kids with all f’s.” Lauren says with a groan as she bangs her head on the desk. “You ok babe?” Peter says from the desk behind her as he puts a hand in her shoulder. “I never wanted to be able to say that I’ve been here, now it ruins my perfect record.” She says with a pout as Peter’s face softens. “I’m sorry Laur.” He replies.

“Besides, we wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for Ned and his inability to be discreet.” Michelle sneers as she continues to draw in her sketchbook. “I can be discreet.” He responds, looking at the rest of you guys. “You tried to hack into a supervillan’s phone using a computer that’s connected to the school WiFi, then you got us caught, and just when Lauren was trying to make an excuse for the reason that we were all there, the first thing you say is “we’re ALL looking at porn. Not just you, not just Lauren. ALL of us!” You says as you roll your eyes. “I’m sorry, I panicked.” Ned says.

“Obviously. I’m not supposed to be in any actual trouble when I’m here. I’m just supposed to sketch people.” Michelle groans.

“Speaking of being in actual trouble,” Peter says, “KAREN just alerted me about a weapons heist in Brooklyn.” “But you don’t even have your mask, how did you?-“ You question as Peter shows off a high tech watch with KAREN built in that resembles an Apple Watch. “It’s a new upgrade from Mr. Stark. Pretty cool, right?” Peter asks with a wink towards as you roll your eyes.

“Wouldn’t it be cool if KAREN could like, activate something weird like the sprinklers, and we could find a way to escape while the teachers could be distracted?” Lauren says with a dry chuckle. “Activating Midtown High sprinklers.” KAREN says, causing you all to all look at each other with confusion when suddenly, the sprinklers come raining down on you, scaring the hell out of you guys.

“Aw, damn it!” The teacher exclaims, running out of the room to try to stop the water. “Ohmygosh, now’s our time to escape, let’s go!” Lauren exclaims as she jumps out of her seat, her wet hair sticking to her face as she turns. “Are you crazy, we could get caught.” Ned screams, trying to keep his head out of his face.

“Fine, stay here!” You exclaim, grabbing Lauren and Peter’s hand as you guys race out of the classroom, Michelle and Ned quickly trailing behind you. “Look, there’s the door, we can leave from there.” Peter pants, as you all started running a little bit faster toward the door. Suddenly, the teacher stands in front of the exit, soaking wet as anger fills his face. “What the hell are you kids doing, get back in that room!” He yells.

You all come to a halt, sliding against the linoleum floor as you tried to keep each other up, turn around, your legs wobbling, as you all ran and escaped out of the emergency exit.

***************************************************************************

“Oh yeah, I guess that was cool.” Michelle says, attempting to appear disinterested. “Are you kidding me, it was incredible!” Lauren exclaims with a giggle, everyone smiling at her as they think about the memory. “They way we slid against the floor and ran out the door, I mean, it was a pure breakfast club moment!”

“I’ve had so many amazing moments this year, it would be impossible to me to pick out my favorite. Especially since most of them were with you guys.” Peter says he looks at his group of friends. “Oh boo!” Lauren exclaims, sticking her tongue out at him. “What?” Peter asks with a smile as he raises an eyebrow, amused by his girlfriend’s antics.

“You’re taking the cowards way out since it’s probably too hard for you to pick out one moment.” You say with a chuckle as peter glares at you. “Well than, why don’t you call Lauren out since she hasn’t shared yet? Lauren?” Peter asks, direct the question to Lauren.

“Fine, I’ll share,” she giggles, pushing a curl that fell on his forehead. “My favorite moment from this year was...Gilbert walking through the door.” She says in awe as her and the rest of you turn to see the tall dark-haired boy that had been your crush ever since he came to the school two months ago. As he entered the apartment, he gave Flash a handshake as he engaged in conversation with him, sneaking a glance at you and giving you a small smile.

“What is he doing here?!” You say with a nervous smile, your cheeks turning red as you whip your head to look at Lauren.

“I’m sure he’s here to celebrate the new year.” Peter starts with a smirk. “And to get his Christmas present.” Lauren continues. “A girlfriend.” He finished. “Hallelujah!” Lauren says with a giggle as her and peter high five while Ned and Michelle snicker.

“Hey Meg.” Gilbert says with a small smile as he walks over to us. “Hi Gilbert.” You reply with a smile, you eyes focusing on your hands.

“Its 12:40! Let’s go out now if we’re gonna see the ball drop.” Ned says as he rushes out the door with Michelle, Flash, Peter, and Lauren trailing behind him, you and Gilbert slowly following.

As you reach the rooftop, you watch as all of your friends spread our when suddenly, Gilbert softly rests his hand on your arm. “Meg, I know we haven’t gotten to talk that much in the past few months, but I’ve come to realize that...I really like you, and I’d love it if I could stand with you at midnight.” He says with a smile, your own smile widening as you feel like you’re on cloud nine.

“I would love to Gilbert, but...would it be ok if, for two seconds, I-.” You start, pointing towards your friends. “It’s ok, Meg. Go be with your friends. You’re worth waiting for.” He says as you smile at him and begin to walk over to Lauren, who’s leaning on the balcony as she looks out at the skyline.

“Where’s your boyfriend?” You ask her with a small smile. “He should be back over here soon. He’s just geeking out with Ned about some new addictions they got for their Death Star.” She says with a giggle as she looks down at you with a smirk. “What about you? How’s your soon to be boyfriend?” She asks, wiggling her eyebrows as you nudge her shoulder.

“He said he wants to be with me at midnight. That sounds...sickeningly romantic.” You say with a smile. “That sounds amazing. I’m really happy for you babes, you deserve the world.” She says as she wraps her arm around you. “Hey, you never said what your favorite moment from the year was.” You state, looking up at your best friend.

“Well, originally, my moment was going to be when we went to that cabin upstate for a few days for our class trip, and Michelle and I ended up having a 90s/early 2000’s themed dance battle,” she starts as you both giggle at the memory. “now, I think my moment would have to be-“

“Hey everyone, it’s ten seconds until the ball drops!” Flash exclaims as everyone takes at least 5 seconds to gather as the edge of the rooftop. Peter, Ned, Michelle, and Gilbert stand on your side as you all begin the countdown.

“5!”

“4!”

“3!”

“2!”

“1!”

“HAPPY NEW YEAR!” Everyone exclaims as you hear the city erupts in cheers, friends runs around with glitter and apple cider, and couples break off into hugs and kisses. Suddenly, you feel Gilbert softly turn you around to face him as he cups your face with his hands and softly presses his lips against yours. It was perfect, you felt as though all your dreams were coming true. Your eyes fluttered open to look into his eyes, softly giggle as you look at his awestruck expression on his face.

“Hey Meg,” Lauren calls, causing her to turn around and face her. “This is my favorite moment. Now. All of us together, starting the new year strong. What more could a girl ask for?” She says with a smile as peter wraps his arms around her waist, Ned and Michelle nod at each other, and you and Gilbert hold hands.

“It’s midnight,” Michelle says with a small smile as she looks at all of her friends.

“Here we are.” Gilbert says, as his friends all smile at each other, knowing that the new year was no match for them.

2019, bring it on.
