Well, yes. The style of the animated series is primarily based off of Rapunzel's own artistic style from the film and it's pretty beautiful as always but she somewhat added her own flairs by shading the nose colour as well to match with the blush on the characters' cheeks. Without it, it looks like this:
It looks odd to say at least.
The nose color and blush break up the facial features giving the appearance of depth without much actual shading. Though they also add a bit more balance to the art style. Without it you'll most likely focus more on his eyes because they are rather predominant. We've become use to the style as it is. So it might even look 'wrong' if something is missing from it. Take this screenshot from episode 1 for example. There isn't much contrast to break up his skin tone from Rapunzel's hair. If the blush was there it would help a little.

if you are doing any kind of design meant to reach large numbers of people, download a colorblindness filter (i use CVSimulator, its pretty simple and free) and use it religiously
color filters can be useful, but as others pointed out, the problem isn't just color. some of the "Good" colors are still hard to read because the contrast SUCKS!
if you're designing for the web i'd recommend using WebAIM contrast checker to compare a text/background color pair. you can also use the a11y color contrast validator to check the contrast of an entire web page (like your carrd or blog).
that's not all there is to accessibility, of course...but good contrast WILL make your beloved page readable to colorblind and low vision users, and everyone else really

A fae being stands before you.

Yes. Quite easily so. You see, making deals with the Fae is down to very specific word choices. They shot themselves in the foot with their own words here while making this deal, even though they thought their word choice was so very, very clever. The Fae specifically uses the word “glass”. This, in turn, limits the person that agrees to the deal to the “hit your front teeth on the first try every time” to only be hitting their teeth on the first try every time if they drink out of a glass. If the person decides to drink out of a container that isn’t made out of glass, like, say for example… A paper cup. Or a soda can. A plastic bottle. Styrofoam cup. Yeti Tumbler. Their own hand. A bowl. Who knows, a person can get hella creative when they realize there are ways to get around the rules without actually breaking them. So. A Fae being stands before me, and offers me this deal. I smile, wide and unassuming, offer my hand to shake. “I accept this deal and all of it’s terms unconditionally.”

Also like. It says lift a glass. What if you leave it on the table and use a straw? I feel like that’s a work-around if you’re like at a fancier restaurant that only uses glasses too. Which you might be a lot if you’re getting $1000 a day.
Also, straws exist. That glass never needs to touch your lips in the first place.

going off of my Varian prison barge idea, what would the gang do? Like, are they just leaving him? Or taking him? Are they taking him by his choice or against his will? How are both sides treating him? How is he treating both sides?
There are a few things to think about. The first is his mental and physical health. Is he in a state where he can make this decision for himself? The 2nd is the fact that he has no reason to trust Rapunzel and her friends even if they are showing concern for his well being now. If Varian is still feeling resentful he might not want to travel with these people. Though if he is feeling remorseful then both sides will have to work on their trust issues together. Perhaps by making some sort of deal? It's a lot to think about. Though it's fun to brainstorm potential outcomes. I've read a lot of AU's and rambles based on this concept that go in many different directions. You gotta find the one that feels right to you.
Seriously, Kay and Anna had no problem shipping 24 years old Hugo and 37 years old Pyrus, so why are age differences so hated in the Vat7k fandom?

Varipunzel, Cassarian Eugerian or Varalina are just as good ships as Varigo. Maybe even better.
It’s a defensive behavior. The reason that they get angry when faced with this information is because they are afraid of the truth and what they think it implies. “I’m not like those other fans. My AU is different! *makes excuse*”. I got walls of text from Vat7K fans trying to convince themselves that they are fundamentally different from me or anyone else who ships something that they do not. It’s a delusion, a facade they have put up in order to trick themselves and others into feeling morally superior. Which obviously goes against the very principals of shipping, in which any ship can be toxic in the wrong hands. By pointing out the error in their ways perhaps it’ll open the doorway to reason. Where they can see that we’re all here to have fun. Though the odds of that actually happening are incredibly low. It's still worth trying none the less.
you know i don’t think we often talk about how difficult it actually is to suddenly realize that a belief you thought was good and moral and correct was actually really fucking toxic. how you have to look at something and go ‘oh shit, oh i fucked up. oh this is going to take probably years at minimum to deprogram from my brain because of all the little ways this shit pervaded the rest of my beliefs’
so. to all the people picking up all the pieces of a recently shattered world-view and trying to figure out what is safe to keep and what has to be thrown away and started over
