July 23rd ended up being Opal's last day. Our old vet never found out what was wrong but her muscles had deteriorated to the point that she couldn't do more than lift her head and she didn't want to drink or eat. Even still she just wanted to be around me and get pets like she always has. I could tell she still wanted to live but her body couldn't hang on much longer and the vet said her quality of life would be too poor from that point on to recommend prolonging it. I'm going to miss her so much. Ive never lost someone before which has been making it even harder. You were such a good cat, Opal.

Shockingly, it’s almost like Japan and America have very different narratives surrounding nuclear fallout. Now, if we all think very very hard, maybe someone could think of why this might be.
