So many fandoms, so much fanfic to get through. Accidentally (on purpose) deleted original blog and have re-started.

Fuck It Friday

Okay so I'm about to go on a holiday and won't be working on my WIPS but I am very excited about this buddie fic I'm working on! It's already at 5K and I see no end in sight haha! Here's another little snippet.

“Buck?”

Buck blinked down at Chris, jolted from his thoughts. He offered Chris a smile as the kid looked up at him, a worried look his face.

“Yeah, buddy?”

“Are we going to make it to L.A?” Chris asked, lower lip wobbling slightly.

“Course we are buddy.” Buck shuffled closer, reaching out to ruffle Chris’s hair. The kid swayed under his touch, nose scrunching up adorably. “We will just be a little later than what was planned.”

Chris nodded but the worried look remained on his face. Buck’s heart clenched at the sight, and he squatted down in front of Chris, catching his eyes.

“Hey. I promise I will get you home to your dad.”

Chris swayed into Buck, wrapping his arms around Buck’s neck, crutches, and all, and hugged him tightly. “Thanks Buck.”

“I got your back,” Buck promised, hugging Chris back. He let Chris end the hug, steadying him with a hand on his waist. “Do you have a phone? Want to call your dad?”

Chris looked away. “I don’t have one.”

favorite things about this in no particular order:

chris is totally unbothered by it. just completely unfazed by the antics of what's going on behind him

looks like eddie tried (and failed) to catch the popcorn in his mouth

and instead of just grabbing popcorn at random to throw at eddie/ryan, buck/oliver specifically picked out the biggest pieces he could find to hit his target appropriately lmao

Seven Sentence Sunday

Okay so it's a little more then seven sentences but I am finally working on another buddie fic! I don't know if I'll get this posted before I go on my holiday but here's a little preview. Buck meet's Chris on a bus from El Paso to L.A and they both take the long journey home.

Buck stepped back, leaning against the side of the bus as the doors opened and everyone pushed their way onto the bus. As he watched, he looked to the small boy in the bright striped, yellow t-shirt and shorts sway on his red crutches. His eyes looked comically wide behind the lenses of his red glasses as he waited for the other passengers to disembark the bus.

Buck had seen the kid when had first gotten on in El Paso. He had sat alone by the window, a book spread out across his lap, his backpack on the seat beside him with his crutches propped up against him. Buck had thought the that the older couple who sat in front of the kid had been his parents, but as the hours passed by and they didn’t acknowledge the boy, Buck wondered if he was travelling alone.

Buck had all but confirmed it on their first rest stop when he had watched the kid make his way to the bathroom by himself, none of the other passengers acknowledging the boy. Feeling uneased that nobody else seemed concerned that a young boy was travelling by himself, Buck had introduced himself.

“Hey! I’m Buck,” he had said as he held the bathroom door open for the boy to pass through. “You’re on the bus with me.”

Chris had squinted up at Buck. “Yeah! You’re reading the book on – on space!”

Buck hadn’t realised that the boy had taken any notice of him. “Yeah, I am. And you’re reading Percy Jackson, right?”

Chris had looked delighted that Buck knew about his book. “Yeah! I’m Christopher.”

“Nice to meet you, Christopher,” Buck said.

When they had been to the bathroom, Buck had walked Christopher back to the bus, the two of them falling into easy chatter. As they made their way to their seats, Buck made sure Chris was comfortable, his crutches stowed so they wouldn’t get in the way, but before he could go to his seat, Chris had stopped him.

“Do you want to be my – my bus buddy?” Chris asked, blinking up at Buck with such a hopeful expression that Buck’s heart had melted.

“Absolutely I do,” Buck had grinned. “Let me get my stuff.”

christopher is old enough for regular sleepovers and late nights hanging out with his friends but he’s still happy to hang out with buck and that just. chris is past the age of making buck hand drawn cards calling them bffs but that’s still his buck. buck is the only other adult in christopher’s life who chooses him. he’s not eddie’s son to buck. he’s christopher. buck jumped into a tsunami trying to go after him. chris ran to buck when he was upset about eddie dating ana. they held each other when eddie got shot. they go to the zoo together. they bake together. they have nights just the two of them. there’s no way chris didn’t have someone’s house he could go to, but eddie said he was gonna take him to buck’s and christopher didn’t suggest an alternative because he loves him. it’s so special. he’s out of the arts n crafts phase, maybe, but pizza and movies and buck getting tagged on christopher’s insta story next to string of emojis buck doesn’t know how to decipher but that ends in two hearts, well. that’s pretty good, too.

Wong: Strange is so focused on learning this new spell he let me eat his sandwich. You could say anything to him and he would agree.
America: Stephen!!! I met this grasshopper and we’re really in love. I need $1,000 so I can marry this grasshopper! Is that okay?
Stephen: Yeah, sure, Chavez.
Peter: wow! Let me try!
Peter: Hey Stephen-
Stephen: No, Parker, absolutely not.
