Well, I guess I keep looking.
If a worker who isn't the owner says ANYTHING similar to "I'm not really supposed to do this but-" and then does something that helps you, under no circumstances inform the business, including through reviews. You tell them that the worker was polite, professional, the very model of customer service and why you like to go there. You do not breathe a word of the rulebreaking.
for anyone too young to know this: watching The Truman Show is a vastly different experience now, compared to how it was before youtube and social media influencers became normal
before it was like, "what a horrifying thing to do to a human being! to take away their autonomy and privacy, all for the sake of profits! to create fake scenarios for them to react to, just to retain viewership! to ruin their happiness just so some corporate entity could harvest money from their very humanity! how could anyone do something so evil?"
and now it's like, "ah, yeah. this is still deeply fucked up, but it's pretty much what every influencer has been doing to their kids for a decade now. probably bad that we've normalized this experience"
ma'am. your muppets are escaping
the eeriest thing about being present for an eclipse is the way that birds literally start singing their evening song in the middle of the day, and go completely silent during the event. i kind of get why people used to think it was some kind of celestial horror show now to be honest.
I went to the library to borrow some DVDs we're planning to watch, but when I handed the librarian my card, it took me a solid 15 seconds to register that I handed her my fucking weed card.
Me, fumbling to swap it out: "OH MY GOD, I AM SO SORRY, I was on total autopilot!!"
The librarian: "It's all good, I just assumed it was a flex."
#did the exact opposite of this the other day when I handed the cashier at a book store my library card instead of my credit card#and we both just stared at in confusion for a solid 15 seconds before I went oh fuck I can’t use that here#and she said ‘oh I’m glad that was unintentional bc I thought I was gonna have to explain some hard truths about bookstores to you’ fhshsgag via @formereldestdaughter
we are the same, u and i.

Kirk: Federation law is very clear on this
Kirk: (Proceeds to do whatever he wants anyway)
Picard: Federation law is very clear on this but I’m a very creative reader
Janeway: Guys you’re not going to believe this; Federation law has fucking NOTHING relevant to this current situation but I’m going to read 20 hours of other captain’s logs to make sure. Buckle up though because we’re probably going to do some buckwild shit after the commercial break
maya angelou saying the funniest thing anyone has ever said about editing, which i can never let myself forget EVER AGAIN [x]

I am going to be insufferable through May ✨
Just noticed that in Tuvok’s dream, Janeway grabs Tom’s hand. Always thought of Tuvok as a JC shipper but now… 🤔
If you think I haven't completely lost my mind over this --
