This interview took place only 12 hours before he lost his life. He was so looking forward to the 80s. I had this edit sitting in my folder for two months because it hurt listening to it. John had such a difficult childhood (losing his mother, his friend dying), his stardom weigh him down mentally, his marriage was a failure (and he couldn't really live in freedom with the person he truly loved due to societal norms). And then he gets robbed of his life in the most brutal way. How absolutely devastating...

In this clip, he clearly says the song is not for Yoko.

The 2024 Gender Census is now open!

The 11th annual international gender census, collecting information about the language we use to refer to ourselves and each other, is now open until 13th June 2024.

It’s short and easy, about 5 minutes probably.

After the survey is closed I’ll process the results and publish a spreadsheet of the data and a report summarising the main findings. Then anyone can use them for academic or business purposes, self-advocacy, tracking the popularity of language over time, and just feeling like we’re part of a huge and diverse community.

If you think you might have friends and followers who’d be interested, please do reblog this blog post, and share the survey URL by email or at AFK social groups or on other social networks. Every share is extremely helpful - it’s what helped us get 40,000 responses last year.

Southern Gothic by Itsmotivatingcara

Summary:

The town of Defiance is best known for three things. Its legendary pies. Its renowned Antiques shop. And a murder.

Harry Styles is a part time conman and a full-time antiques dealer, who prides himself on his work ethic, his keen eye and his penchant for clairvoyance. He's traveled the world in search of missing pieces, some likely best left buried. He's a keeper of secrets, with a knack for under-the-table dealings. But not all secrets remain hidden.

The South Strangler made his debut in Defiance, before collecting unsuspecting victims along the southern states. FBI agents Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne have been dogging his steps for the past few years, and have been led back to where it all began.

A healthy dose of clairvoyance and a heaping pile of scepticism finds Harry and Louis at an impasse. It just so happens to pair well with steaming attraction.

The shine of the sun in his hair and the way it had lit up his eyes just right. The curl of his smile. The flush on his cheeks as he held their trophy. The way he felt under Hawk's arm the only times Hawk could risk touching him in public.
