I wanted to point out that Nurse Hadley, the woman in this video, is a hospice nurse. This is what people say to and about patients who don't have long left to live. The fear of addiction and dependence on pain medication is so strong that people deny their literally dying family members proper pain management. You're never going to please the "but what about addiction" people, ignore them and take the meds you need to function.

i spent 30 minutes trying to craft a thoughtful response to this stupid post and then realized it was stupid and deleted my reply.

anyway these are literally just chemicals. l-cysteine isn't exclusive to human hair, it's just cheaper to isolate from there. most fast food places now will tell you their l-cysteine is fully synthetic if THAT somehow is better for you. same with DMPS.

these aren't exclusively american practices. these are shelf life extenders.

if you knew what was in a normal organic piece of meat you'd hurl. the world is gross by default. worry about the conditions of how your food is made and stop crying foul over big words

some time ago i introduced the phrase "food pact" to my friends as a shorthand for "i'll go make and eat food if you also make and eat food" and ever since then ive just started incorporating more pacts into my life. stay hydrated pact. stretch break pact. stop doomscrolling and go to bed pact. we need to bring this back in vogue more people should be making pacts imo

the best part of this is when you ask "who wants to do a shower pact" and you get a half dozen friends all rolling up saying "the pact is sealed". faustian behavior
