January 22nd Cutting a little close Your boyfriend Dean's birthday was 2 days around the corner Are you ready No You were still kind of recovering from Christmas. You knew it was rare for him to have anything done for his birthday so it was time for you to change that.
There was one benefit of coming and going from the bunker as you please and having your own apartment topside. It meant you had time for you could work some odd jobs around town So you can get some money to spend on the boys. From what you had seen it have been years since Dean had a real birthday. He was lucky some years to get a skin mag and maybe a court of oil. But this year was going to be different .You told Dean you be back in a few days Back to the bunker so we was not allowed to go on any stupid risky hunts nor was Sam allowed to leave Just gave you time to bake a cake and frost it yourself Time to go out and get him something. something that would be of use to the one and only Dean Winchester..
One of the thoughts you had for his birthday was to get baby detailed but you know he wouldn't give you the keys in a million years. You may be his girlfriend but doesn't that does not mean he is going to trust you with that car. Mean to be fair He is the one that picked it out for his dad ,That ended up being his and the long run But we're not getting into detail on that. You knew you were contemplating getting him some more cassets for the Impala And maybe even a walkman .Or maybe just go a little more modern and get them an iPod since Sam had already installed an iPod port into the Impala. You weren't really sure because Dean has always been a man of all trades .You couldn't exactly get him materials to make more shotgun rounds because he already had this stuff He always has it. When he's got downtime that's what he's doing He's always restocking making sure you him and Sam always have what you could possibly need for any situation.
Should you go to a pawn shop and try to find some silver to meltdown so you guys can make more silver bullets maybe what he find that useful yes is it romantic? no. You were stuck between the two sides of the argument romance or practicality .You wanted to give something to Dean thought he would be able to always think of you when he had with him or when he laid eyes upon it, but you also wanted something practical That way he could always use it .You don't really have space for the life on the move all the time for an extensive set of tools so he can always have what he needs for baby. getting him another flannel also seems stupid If you get your boyfriend another fucking flannel you might As we'll pick one out that you know you're going to like because you know you're going to end up stealing it anyway. You didn't want to have to call Bobby but it was getting to that point .Been racking your brain for weeks now What to get Dean And Sam wouldn't give you any ideas He told you the same thing he has gotten him for Christmas for a few years - skin mag and a quart of oil. It's just wrong for a girlfriend to give her boyfriend a skin mag .Unless you were to replace the pictures of all of the ladies in there with yourself . SO you took a trip to the nearst record shop to see if they had an blank cassets.so you could use some od your cd's and cassests from your 70'Dodge Challenger R/T 440 for Dean's birthday gift that would take up the rest of the day.it proved to be one of the many times you were thankful for the life you lived beore you became a hunter and your grandfathers love for music.You had tape recordes at home and a musci coletion Dean drooled over every time he got to see it.It was time to think back on every tirp and romantic moment you two had ever had.
MOst of the day was spent finding the right songs and what order you wanted them in. Do you put them in an order that resembled oyur relation ship or how you saw dean under the rough extirer.You mad made up your Mind " I Dont wanna miss a thing had been the song you two had dannced together to on several occations so i was going to be on BOTH cassets possible on all sides. 84 songs in total 21 a side and once they were made you took the last two cassets you had open and made then once more useing the stero this time so you had them too for the appaertment or your baby.
the 23rd was the day of making the cake. Bourbon Vanilla Birthday Cake was your choise this year knowing that dean couldnt pass up some wiskey even if it is in his cake.
the icing was messy like a crumb coat but it looked just fine to you.I mean what better way to show that your life was a mess then a messy icing job.with the words"happy Birthday Jerk" writen on it
You either had to call cas or Sam to help you with the next part which was getting the cake in the bucker and hiding your car so oyu could nab Baby to get her detailed becuase she smells like old fries. Dean leaves the keys on the main table so it shouldnt be too hard to get them.
SO you gave in and texted sam asking where he and Dean were
y/n:' have to get something in bunker without dean seeing it'
Sam:'well stick around to help put cold stuff away then dean wanted to make burgers tommaorw '
y/n:'let me guess he's calling himself meat man again'
y/n : 'wait to come back till i give you the clear please
y/n:'im gona spend the night anyway so if thats any help '
the conversation stoped there as you set off to get the cake in the car with the cassests wrapped and in yuor purse that you almost never carry.
a 30 mineut drive out of town to the lovely bunker later it was time to lock the car and get the doors open, down the stairs to the kitchen to secure the cake.
you then dart up to your room to put your pusrse away and take your shoes off feeling the cold floor under you. You and a special outfit planed for after you got Baby deatiled because Angey/panic sex with dean could happen but you never know.Hell it his birthday so you were going to "take care" of him anyway its just a matter of when
yuo texted sam letting him know it was all clear . with dean driving even in city limits he still got there in less the 30 minuets so oyu helped bring in groceries and ge the mall put away.keeping dean out of the kitchen you even had a beer ready for him.
the three of you ordered some pizza and sat together watching some tv before sam called it a night.
"its almost your birthday " you say tilting your gaze to meet his
"oh come on dean its not that bad of a day"

you got the fisrt casset in the player and listened to it while you where in the car wash and vacuming the car and yes yuo did find several fries left in the car....you stopped the casset before your song that you wanted to dance with dean to.
dean woke up to not finding you in the bed,or any part of the bunker so panic set in fast"SAMMY"
sam rushed out of his room his hair a mess"yes dean"
"the impala is in the garge like always dean"
"she couldnt have gotten far dean go see if her cars in the garge" dean took off like a bat out of hell to find oth his babyies gone
"SHE TOOK BABY" he stayied up there waiting for you to come back and when you did oyu rolled down the windows and started the casset to play " i dont want to miss a thing" and you saw his frustration melt.
"out of baby leave her running"he spoke as he leaned in the window
yuo two danced to your song in the bunkers garge like it was the last day on earth . little did oyu know sam watched the whole thing and recored it till "smoke on the water"started.
"im mad at you for dissapearing . Both my babyies were gone." dean said still holding you
"im sorry i really am but i have your birthday presents and i needed the Impala for them."you said ust above a wisper
"and what are they." he said back checkily
you handed him the other casste " you have two new casstes well mixtapes and baby got a bath and deatailed."
He smiled as he looked at the car and cassest in his hand.
"thank you y/n" he leaned down to kiss you full of passion when he caught a glims of the sholder stra to his favorite skantilly out fit of yours under your shirt "and I see what your wearing and the answer is yes please"
Cas joined you guys when dean was cooking his birthday burgers and sam showed him the video after you tryed to snatch his phone.
the wole crew enjoyed the cake and eveing till sam and cas said theyd be back in the morning by 11 knowing damn good and well tonigt was going to be a loud night. you told them take oyur car because dean wasnt going to let the impala go again anytime soon.
