It’s OFFICIAL! My book This Dissonant Princess is out as of today, 4/4/24 — which happens to be the main character’s birthday 🔥

This Dissonant Princess is a book that follows a messy, passionate girl named Gemma through a mental heath journey, queer unity across generations, redemption, and a love story. It’s for every person who has been told they’re “too much.”

Meet Callum Chessman, the main character of my newest book, Common Strange Behavior. He’s bipolar, pansexual, hopelessly in love with his best friend Nick, telekinetic, and an agent of chaos.

He’s also going to figure out why kids are going missing from his school, Wildbrush Academy for Strange People, because he’s incapable of staying in his lane! He’s like really really bad at it!

But hey, he sure knows how to throw a party.

My new book Common Strange Behavior is out, and this is the main cast.

In order:

Crash Jenkins, Charlie Chee, Lily Kapule

Nick Pereira, Callum Chessman [POV MC], (Headmaster) Arrow Long

Sophie Chessman, Andy Chessman, Fiona Chessman

For as long as there have been Strange People, there have been those who hate us.

This year is Callum Chessman's last at Wildbrush Academy for Strange People. He's ready to move on. Between telekinesis, bipolar disorder, and hopelessly pining for his best friend Nick, he's had enough. He's going to coast through until he's out, and that's that.

But then students with Anomalous Strange Behaviors, Strange Behaviors that are rare and unprecedented, begin to vanish.

Between his loyal group of queer friends, his three younger sisters, and a nationwide network of Strange kids he met during a stint in the mental ward, Callum discovers that kids aren't going missing only from Wildbrush. They're going missing from every Strange school in the United States.

Callum has never been good at staying in his lane.

He will find out what is happening to his friends.

There's only one thing to keep in mind:

Don't let them catch you.

Hi! I just read all you’ve post of Wish I’d Never Gone and I was wondering if you have any plans to post more of it anytime soon? I am such a fan of your writing and would love to read more of the story if that’s something you’re comfortable continuing. I saw the note you posted at the end of chapter 18 and I am so sorry for your loss. I understand if going back to the story is not something you feel like you can do but I figured it wouldn’t hurt to ask. I really hope you don’t find this insensitive, that’s the last thing I want to come across as. I just wanted to let you know that I really loved it and would love more if that was ever a possibility

I know this is an old ask, but this is a question I get pretty frequently to this day, so I'm gonna say it here so that anyone who's around here sees me say it: Wish I'd Never Gone is not going to be finished. I posted that last chapter in the hospital room where my stepdad would die the next day, and so my ties to the fic are extremely challenging. It's far enough from when I posted it that if somebody wanted to imagine their own ending and post it, I wouldn't mind, but I will not be touching the fic and it is what it is. Thank you for understanding!

Thank you for writing The Fool in the Mirror. I really enjoyed everything about it. Reading it really helped my mental state (ie focus of mental health and communication and healing).

Thank you for reading it! I know that this ask is very old, but I'm trying to be back from Twitter for, you know. Obvious reasons. Writing about mental health is something I'm very passionate about, and I've even started to publish some books that center around mental health issues as well! It means a lot that my fanfic is still reaching people

get stoned, dance with the ex-best friend you just kissed, and pretend this won’t all be over soon
