“If you’re really callous neough to punish my little girl for what I’ve done then you are less Jake Griffin’s daughter than Glacia is. At least she inherited his compassion.” She paused for a drink of water. She had been talking a long time an her throat was drying out.
“I did what I had to do in order to save lives. I don’t care if you or anyone else agrees with me. I have a clear conscious about what I did. ANd if I go to meet my maker soon as I’m sure you and others wish, I will have only one regret. That I’m not here to help my daughter through her life.”
Nia reached for the bag Glacia had brought her when she had visited. Nia had never told the girl about her parentage until now. She and Jake agreed that it should be secret so as not to get anyone in trouble. “Your father gave me this before he died. He was planning to tell Glacia when she turned 18 and became an adult. I’m sure you can recognize his handwriting.” She handed over the toy and note Jake had created for his youngest daughter.
clarke was bitter. evidently so as the woman tried to convince her that she was the callus one in this situation. “ you stopped caring about her the moment you sent her down here to die, ” she paused, eyebrows furrowing while the words full of hate fell from her lips. but they slowed when she was presented with a toy and a note.
nearly snatching it, the blonde moved away from the woman’s bedside. she couldn’t stand to look at her while reading what her father wrote. words of apology, he had a family, he couldn’t have another daughter. this was for the better, he said. but rage filled her still while the thought of what lead up to this moment at the hands of one of their own mothers.
“ it isn’t glacia’s fault, ” the blonde snapped, turning back to her but maintaining her distance. “ she’s my people, we fight this war together on the ground... ” clarke said, again, trying to keep her voice even.
“ but that doesn’t mean i forgive you, chancellor queen. “

“I swear Clarke, it’s time to eat the berries. They’re falling off the bush!” Madi had been staring at those berries every time she was told to walk past them. She wanted to eat them weeks ago, but Clarke had said they were to save them for when the fish didn’t come. However, Madi was determined to make today the day. “Please Clarke, can’t I have one?”
clarke turned her head, groaning playfully as the younger girl begged and pleaded about berries on the nearby bushes. every day it was the same thing, each day they were more and more ready. the overly sweet berries were probably soon to go into full bloom, but with the unseasonably warm weather, she wasn’t surprised they’d be nearly ready by now.
“ only one, “ clarke smiled, “ get a bowl and bring some back for after dinner, ” she smiled.

Jake groaned at his daughter’s intense enthusiasm. “I’m going to the couch,” he grumbled, rolling outof bed. At least in the front room he might be able to get some actual sleep while Abby kept their daughter entertained in here.
Abby gave him a sympathetic smile as heleft andhugged her daughter tight once more. “That sounds like a lot of fun, honey. And I just love the card you made me. It’s so very pretty. Now why dn’t you and I stay in here and you can tell me about this pagent while I eat the breakfast you made me.”
If Abby could keep Clarke talking, she could keep her in the room and out of Jake’s hair. One of them should be able to enjoy some actual sleep. Abby set her daughter in the spot left by her husband and reached for hte pastry.
“ i get to be you in a surprise play at school! “ she cheered, the smile wide spread as she took her disgruntled father’s spot. bright blue eyes stared happily at abby, beaming with excitement, while jake grumpily shuffled into the living room.
“ mrs. fields said that we’re supposed to dress up like our mom, ” clarke nearly cheered while her little fingers reached for a fallen crumb from the artificially sweet almost pastry. “ so you can help me !! and you can do my hair !! can i wear make up like you do to work? ” she asked beaming a wide grin, again reaching for a bit.
i really love how you seem to highlight clarke's softer side in a way? she really fricking cares about people and it comes through so well in your writing

Jaha was to blame for a lot of their problems, and even now he was creating chaos down on Earth, by recruiting people into their cause. The City of light.. People just seemed absent.. Not within their right mind, and luckily there was a few, like Bellamy and Clark who didn’t take the chip.. They were still whole, and worked tirelessly to stop the others.. The people in the CoL were unlike any others, they didn’t feel pain.. They were formidable force to fight against because of it.
As Clark entered the City, to stop it.. Bellamy remained in the throne room to help guard her, help keep the others off.. And he got into his own fight with Kane, at least the CoL version of Kane.. One that couldn’t be reasoned with, not while he was under the influence of ALIE.
His fight seemed over just as quickly as it started, as Kane along with the others came to their senses.. Clark seemed to still be within the City, and Bellamy rushed to her side, Abby already attending to her, so all Bellamy could do was wait.. Make sure the grounders didn’t decide to kill them, kill Clark.. Bellamy would die to save her.
clarke startled awake, the warm feeling of her own blood dripped down her face. it all happened so quickly that, honestly, she didn’t know where she was at the moment. all around her lay death, those who had been there when she drifted, those trying to kill her now snapped from their trance.
it seemed too good to be true, a final moment with lexa, raven getting through with the unbreakable code, the blood transfusion -- but she’d been given the information from A.L.I.E herself. the end of the world was coming -- again -- and they’ve only been gifted a few weeks. it was up to her to save the world.
feeling as though she weighed a thousand pounds, clarke waited no time to try to push herself to standing, using the arms of lexa’s throne as much needed support. woozy was an understatement, her knees were weak but with a pounding heart she had no choice -- there had to be someone who would listen to her.
“ Bellamy? ” she muttered the first person she saw. she took a moment, rolling her shoulders back to appear stronger than she was, “ we need to talk, now. ” she said urgently.
I can only spare a little bit of time right now while i wait for my laundry to dry -- my anxiety level is super fucking high right now about a work event tomorrow and i’m hoping being here will help life some of it -- so if you dont have anything nice to say don’t say anything at all.

Gentle reminder people have lives outside of roleplay. Online things are secondary to offline, please be kind to others and to yourself. It’s okay if someone takes a break. It’s okay if someone goes away for a while and can’t handle even ooc things. Learn to be understanding and kind please.
