Well today was a first...

I started my day with a fellow teacher telling me I wasn’t a ‘real’ teacher and shouldn’t be listened to or taken seriously.

The middle of my day had a parent tell me how much her son wants to be in my class.

And my day ended with a different fellow teacher tell me how I am the most dedicated teacher he knows but I care way too much about my students and am setting myself up to get hurt.

Book Discussion

What books have made you cry hysterically?

A Little Life by Hanya Yanagihara. Hands down, the biggest tearjerker I’ve read in a while.

Books that make you cry stick better than others.

I ugly cry a lot when I read… Me Before You andthe last 3 Harry Potter books are the ones that stick out the most in my mind though. Oh! And The Book Thief.

Oh, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows and The Book Thief both hit my hard

(DOBBBBBYYYYY)

Definitely The Book Thief! I sobbed at the end of that one. Also Salt to the Sea by Ruta Sepetys

Ugh The Book Thief killed me!!! Also, Code Named Verity! I cried so much!

Book Thief was a hard hitter and a popular book on this post.

Lynch’s Red Seas Under Red damn Skies. I start crying around halfway and then put off reading the most difficult bits until I can do it at home, with a pile of kleenex. And it never gets any easier.

Tbh it’s why I haven’t reread rsurs yet… But I’ll do it soon

Handle With Care by Jodi Picoult!!! I finished the book, closed it, and continued to bawl.

We Were the Mulvaneys. I don’t remember who wrote it but it got me.

Song of Achilles. I don’t remember who wrote it.

Fried Green Tomatoes... I had watched the movie first and cried hysterically when I read the differences that happened... it was so worth it though!!

No one really understands how much compliments actually mean to me, like I sometimes brush them off with a joke and a quick “thank you,” but really, I remember compliments forever, so if you’ve ever complimented me or done something nice for me, thank you so much.
