Title: Shots
“Fucking hell,” you shouted over the hail of bullets, “I thought you said that you had dealt with them.”
“I had,” snapped back Indy, “and don’t swear.”
“Why? Because ladies shouldn’t swear.”
“No,” Indy gritted his teeth and reloaded his gun, “because I want you to stop talking and focus on translating.”
You just rolled your eyes and turned your attention back to the inscriptions. Damn Indy for turning up on your doorstep late at night. He had another mad idea and just had to drag you along. You knew you should’ve said no. Things always ended badly when you and Indy went adventuring together. Either the two of you getting shot at or ending up in bed together.
And after last time you swore the latter would never happen again.
Which only left being shot at.

Story of my life with one of my colleagues...
He always asks at least three times if I'm sure of something. The last time that happened I told him that if he doubted my calculations he was more than welcome to do them himself in future.
Haven't had a problem with him since
We have some really snooty residents in a very wealthy part of the borough where I work. They get so abusive to my colleagues and I and yet when they speak to my line manager they're as nice as pie.
My line manager doesn't fall for it though. He knows that they're only nice to him because:
A) he's a manager
B) they're trying to pull the wool over his eyes- we say that they're horrible and abusive but show him a different side
but he's been working in this industry for too long so he knows all their tricks!

The amount of fucking times this has happened to me!
Like I'm in charge of retrieving CCTV requests and we can only give the footage out to the police or staff members. Unfortunately some staff still give the link the residents to request the footage, despite me constantly reminding them not to do this!!!!
I wish there was a purge day for people that deal with customer service (in person or on the phone) where we can match the energy of rude customers and have no consequences whatsoever.

So I just saw a post by a random personal blog that said “don’t follow me if we never even had a conversation before” and?????? Not to be rude but literally what the fuck??????????
I’ve had people (non-pornbots) try to strike conversation out of nowhere in my DMs recently, and now I’m wondering if they were doing that because they wanted to follow me and thought they needed to interact first. I feel compelled to say, just in case, that it’s totally okay to follow this blog (or my side blog, for that matter) even if we’ve never talked before.
Also, I’m legit confused. Is this how follow culture works right now? It was worded like it’s common sense but is that really a thing?
Saw a sharp increase in my follower count after posting this. The legitimacy of it is driving me nuts so I also feel the need to say that you can follow anyone on here regardless of whether you’ve interacted with them or not. People like the above mentioned blog are exceptions. Perhaps they themselves think they aren’t and therefore will act like they aren’t, but they are, trust me.
Just follow anyone you wanna follow. The worst thing that can happen is maybe getting soft-blocked by the other person, but if they do soft-block you, then they were never that worth following in the first place.
