The interesting thing about the rap line is that while Namjoon and Yoongi have distinct styles, it seems like Hoseok is still trying to find his. You can clearly hear where his influences come from. He’s not trying to imitate someone else’s style and call it his own. He’s experimenting to see what fits him. It also seems like he’s soooo close to finding it that once his mixtape comes out he’ll be able to come into his own.
Three years after this post was made his mixtape came out and I could not be more proud of him. Every track is so very him and he’s so versatile. He’s definitely come into his own without a doubt in my mind. From the bubbly tracks of Hope World and Daydream to the hard hitting Bass Line and Hangsang and ending it with the bittersweet/calm sounding Blue Line; it’s all him. He plays so well with his the tone of his voice and flow. It’s incredible to see how much love and hard work was put into this. I’m glad he’s been able to take his time with this and not rush it. He deserves all the praise that he’s been getting and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
Jung Hoseok I’m so proud of you and you deserve to feel proud of yourself.
