Thanks!!! Hm well originally I’ve always liked keith and Pidge in more of a bro ship. I’ve read lots of Sheith fics where keith and Pidge are best friends, very close, constantly bug each other but can be vulnerable too. Main example would be like from the fic Where The Light Doesn’t Reach (or anything by that author). Even tho it was a Sheith fic, I really liked their character dynamics. 

I guess I just really enjoy friendships to romantic relationships trope, if they’re already the best of friends I wouldn’t mind them becoming something more in the future. If in canon wise, I’d see them grow as good friends(during Voltron) and maybe end up together post war.

I mean in a way yeah i do love the fact that Keith is loyal to Shiro, would even die for him, but hey, anything could’ve happened in the og voltron they had in mind ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I just thought that if Shiro had died, Keith would not have left for the blades in order to pilot the black lion. Him and Lotor would’ve met and bonded more given their circumstances. And things would have gone muchhh much differently too, with Keith being more vulnerable after the loss of Shiro (and this being confirmed that he Died, not just “disappeared”) and suddenly becoming the new leader of voltron. Of course Keith has difficulty in opening up to others, but maybe that’s where Lotor’s persuasion would come in? 

I think the part that got me thinking it could’ve ended with keitor betrayal the most was the fact that they mentioned Shiro being alive bringing in “another dynamic” and while ppl assume that could mean sheith, whose to say it wasn’t lotura? Or maybe Oriande was never meant to exist and they had other plans to bring in the Alteans? Clone Shiro wouldn’t have existed either (or maybe?)  Again, many possibilities. Even if Keith didn’t end up as Lotor’s love interest, he would have been betrayed for sure.

Also i really like keitor i think they had a lot of potential so that was mainly me thinking out loud haha
