remember the halloween party they went to less than ! two ! weeks ! after they met irl and its dan standing awkwardly and the height difference is evident and phil looks so protective because i took the video for it and ingrained it in my very soul
phil doesn’t show and express his admiration in words too often, he’s never been too good with words. he’s more quiet when he’s vocalizing his adoration for his loved ones, he’s more into vocalizing it by doing actions like making presents, writing little sticky notes with silly jokes plastered onto them, sticking cat stickers on his face and laughing about it or squeezing dan’s arm whenever they’re in small social gatherings and dan’s walking slightly faster than him. he expresses his fondness quietly in contrast to dan who is more loud about his affection and admiration for him but they both know they care about each other, no matter if they’re vocalizing it into words or not.
whenever dan’s anxious or he’s bored and they’re by themselves, dan presses his thumb against phil’s forearm and he glides his hands along his arms, craving for touch because it makes him feel at ease. the soft skin comes in contact with his own and it never fails to make him feel calm, phil views this with a small smile shot at him, shrugging it off as typical behaviour and continuing with whatever he’s doing but to dan, it’s like a reflex, the intimate touches soothe him.
