status update !!

truth be told i'm already sick of this blog and everything i've written on here. i won't be posting any of my queue, sorry to disappoint but if you've been waiting this long i must applaud you.

some pieces that were on my queue will be on my new blog and i will be redoing my yan! modern genshin au! & writing some new series, feel free to dm me about my new blog

i will be keeping everything on this blog up because i know how sad it is when writers disappear off of the internet :(

hahaha yes i am. despite trying to resolve not using this account i think now is a good opportunity to be clear, i’ve moved blogs. i wanted to quit writing because the lack of feedback on this account was getting to me, but my love for writing brought me back to this hellsite. i’ve been busy with college but i’m happy to announce that i will start writing again for genshin & twst ( potentially other fandoms as well ) on @chafelis and that requests will be open. i won’t be finishing the queue i have on this account simply due to certain things being stressful and tiring. but as a sneak peek this is something i’m working on

i’ve been in a strong alhaitham brainrot ever since i got him so any requests for him might be prioritized. i will also be expanding my genshin college au! and will be writing a mini series so keep an eye out for that as well.

summary: the days counting down until you meet alatus are going by quicker than you thought they were, but in the midst of juggling a new tutor, a clingy roommate, and a professor who seems to only want the worst for you, it's hard to keep track of time.
notes: a big, humongous thank you to my beloved @albedosangel and ryuu, who were my beta-readers for this hell of a chapter (I'm kissing you both on the head rn). I'm going to go ahead and give a fair warning and say that this chapter is very, very slow. brace yourselves y'all. these past three chapters have been mostly focused on setting up the actual meater chapters to come, and for that reason I wanted to really take my time and walk through slowly reader's day-to-day life, as well as their thoughts and the main people they surround themselves with. hopefully it's not too boring though. may the wait be worth it.

from xiao's room (well, studio apartment, technically), there's a perfect view of the city a bit away from campus that greats him every night he steps inside. it's a gorgeous sight, one anyone would be grateful forー the cities bright and bustling even so late at night, with flashly lights and beautiful architecture and tall buildings and people, people, people.

families on an outing. cute couples going on dates. shop owners sweeping around their store. the everyday salaryman walking to work. elderly people feeding the birds. students on their way home from classes; he can see so many lives being lived from his isolated tower.

and yet, on nights like these, no matter how enchanting the view, xiao usually prefers to keep his blinds tightly shutー out of sight, out of mind. jealousy is a vile thing, isn't it? it's nasty, tainting your view of the world, of the things you love. after the first few weeks after xiao had moved in, the view quickly lost the charm it once had. because at the end of the day, to him, the view only serves as a cruel reminder of just how alone xiao is and always has been.

it dangles around a painful reminder of the things xiao can never have, like a baby being shown a rattle toy but never given it. it's so close, yet so far out of reach.

but xiao keeps the blinds open tonight, because tonight, he has hope.

hope that he could one day be like the many walks of life he sees everyday from his apartment window.

I've been farming his signature set but i've been having no luck. 500 fragile resin down the drain for a single crit headpiece. i do however have a well-built kuki shinobu and traveler. i gave him my old xiao artifacts so his splits are 73/246 ( 2 glad & 2 viri with an emblem anemo goblet ) and his burst hits 200k per tick with c6 faruzan. if you main anemo seriously invest in faruzan!! c6 definetly boosts his dmg by alot and to be quite honest anemo hypercarry dps aren't extremely f2p friendly </3

but i think it's important to note that hoyoverse has confirmed there will be no new endgame content beyond tcg so the meta is only relevant to those who are addicted to the abyss. as long as you aren't struggling in the overworld, pull for whoever you want. i have a wanderer build that just swirls electro for my eimiko team it's quite funny.

i've been doing great!! finals are over for me and i've found a roommate. i've been napping on recent sumeru characters so i still have funds for dehya hehe no reason for me to pull for colorist characters when my friends decide to c6 nahida. i considered pulling for nilou but i think i'll save up because she's another case of a terribly written female hoyoverse character and it breaks my heart. cyno is a little underwhelming without dendro but my traveler is carrying all of my electro teams. i also pulled c2 tighnari while pulling for wanderer and haven't decided whether i should build him or not.

as for what i named wanderer? that's going to be a secret hehe
