I’d like to think that Isabela has written a couple of her friend fictions about Oreyna and Fenris. Oreyna would either find one by accident or be given one as a parting gift along with Isabela’s goodbye note. She’s definitely (and regrettably) read it, but doesn’t toss it out. It’s buried somewhere in a drawer in her room where she forgets it exists until she does some deep cleaning.
Random headcanon and doodle, but I feel like Duke and Anders would NOT get along. Not because “haha, Anders likes cats” but being that Mabaris are crazy smart, I think Duke would sense that there’s something not quite right about Anders, that thing being Justice.
Duke’s personality is based on an old family Rottweiler that was scarily good at judging people and disliked exactly one person to the point where he didn’t allow them to pet him and refused any treats this person touched. I hc that he would bite Anders’ hand if he tried to pet him on their first ever interaction. Duke has never bitten any of the other party members and is puzzled as to why Oreyna would spend so much time around someone he feels is potentially dangerous but does not go out of his way to be outright aggressive towards Anders. He doesn’t go out of his way to interact with him either and keeps his guard up whenever he’s around.
