I wondered if he thought he’d find himself amongst a sea of people who didn’t know him, and I wondered if he didn’t know him, if all of these people and all of their eyes on him made him think that if they gave him enough attention, if they stared at him long enough, he’d figure out who he was inside of who they needed him to be. And it occurred to me that maybe we were both lost. Maybe he thought he’d find his salvation in the noise of thousands of people screaming his name and I thought I’d find mine in a world filled with nothing but quiet. And if one of us didn’t change, we couldn’t live in that world together.

Hiya! My masterlist is on my writing page, which is here. 

Thanks so much to you and to everyone who has been enormously patient with me. I didn’t think it would take this long to write this chapter, but between my thesis, graduating from one uni, moving to a new continent, and starting another uni, writing has been put on the back burner. So thank you for your patience! I am still writing CWY and it’s going to continue, even if it takes a lot longer than I anticipate. 

On the plus side, the chapter’s already around 6100 words and it’s still missing 3 scenes, so it’s gonna be a mammoth one. Hope that makes up for how long it’s taken! xx
