I realize that I must sound like a very broken record at this point... But unfortunately, my schedule has not allowed me to fully "come back" the way I'd hoped 😭. I am dying to catch up with everything on here, and read everything I've been in tagged in over the last few months... But in order for me to do that and get up to speed, there's just no way I'm going to be able to reblog/comment on everything the way I normally would have (the way I wish I could)...

I commissioned @pilitella​ way back in October for this piece of Liam and Croía from chapter 16 of Vancross. At the time, I hadn’t written the scene, and only bits and pieces were in my head. I had no idea what exactly it was that I wanted as far as the commission, only that I wanted the beginning of this pivotal moment for these two to shine through. So, I explained where they would be, what would be happening leading up to this moment, and what would be happening afterward. I then gave her free rein to come up with what she could to show what I was unable to really express or convey at the time.

And in true @pilitella​ fashion, she absolutely nailed it and blew me away 🥲

You can jump around. You can abandon projects. You can write really shitty stories! Writing is about telling stories and creating worlds. Not about what makes your followers happy.

I have to remind myself of this a lot, because in most of my stories I’ve gotten stuck and don’t know where to go. But you can jump around. You can skip parts. It doesn’t matter.

Write what makes you happy.
