Supernatural Party

Hey guys!

So I was thinking, if anyone is interested, I could host a Skype or Google Hangouts Supernatural Party this Thursday night at 8pm.

Yep exactly. I am inviting anyone who would like to watch the show with me. We can chat during commercial breaks and fangirl over our fave(s).

I want to have everyone in the group by 7:45pm EST. I’m not sure how time zones work but if the West Coast does not get to see it til later, please be aware the group may have spoilers (talking about what just happened, etc…)

That’s actually a really intetesting intpretation of it I hadn’t thought of. Most people seem to think Athena turned Medusa into a gorgon as punishment for defiling her temple, but thinking that she did so to protect her from being abused again is interesting and I like it!

Athena’s hands were tied. Yes, she was a powerful Goddess, but she was very much a woman in a “boys club”, and the true offending party (don’t think for a moment that Athena blamed Medusa for being raped in the temple, Athena knows better) held all the cards. There was nothing that Athena could do to punish the true criminal, and she was expected to punish Medusa by everyone else. What’s a Goddess to do when she cannot punish those who need to be punished and is expected to punish not only the truly innocent party, but her most beloved follower? Use that incredible brain power she had to protect Medusa at all costs, and of course the men would see it as punishment, to be have her beauty stripped from her and sent to live in the shadows. Medusa should have been KILLED for supposedly defiling the temple, whether she truly did or not, but she was given the gift of life, and the ability to protect herself and her daughters (who she bore thanks to Poseidon). This is why Medusa’s image was used to signify woman’s shelters and safe houses.

Medusa means “guardian; protectress”, and she was.

(Honestly I’m Done with J.K. Rowling so I’m just doing a fun rewrite, now keep in mind I am not a writer and I’m doing essentially what I want so if you think this will make you upset don’t read it)

Harry straightened his tie, not completely sure how to feel about the formality of this ‘ball’. I mean like sure he was one of the champions and such but did he seriously have to dance, although the robes where a nice change from the normal black. They were a dark red it complemented his skin tone and made his eyes look greener. Honestly if he thought about it long enough his green eye probably startled people, a darker boy with starling green eyes and literal lightning like scars across his face. No wonder he didn’t have any friends back with the Dursley. Ron strolled into the common room in full frill and ruffles. “Oy mate you ready to go”, harry stifled a laugh, “what in wizard god are you wearing?”. Ron leaned into the mirror and adjusted his gold earrings and applied another layer of lip stick. “Not everything has to meet the cis agenda, plus the dress code said to express yourself and I think this expresses me . A bit ugly but I make it work.” Ron strolled towards the door ready to leave. “ harry the Patil twins are waiting, let’s go,” harry took one more look in the mirror tried to fix his curls to no luck. “Alright let’s go”.

The twins were waiting outside of the great hall, they were stunning as ever. Many other couples where also gathering in the great hall, dean and seamus, lavender and some girl from beaux Beaton’s, you could feel parvarti starring her down. The twins were in gorgeous sari’s. Padma was in pale pink sari with gold designs, ironically it actually went well with Ron’s robes. Although Parvati really had all eyes on her in a red and gold sari the gold designs where spread across the layers of silk. “Hey Parvati, you look stunning,” Harry told her as the pair met up, Parvati blushed a little and looked down, “thanks harry, so do you I’m so glad you wore red. For some reason I though you were going to wear green or something and I don’t know what if we clashed horribly.” Harry stifled a laugh. “Wow Ron, that is quite the outfit you’ve go on,” Padma stood just taking in the ruffles and earrings. “Well I think I look stunning, as do you-“ Ron stopped and staring at some girl across the room. “Omg is that Hermione” Parvati gasped, harry had to take a second look, Hermione looked so different. Her hair was in a lot of box braids as she called them and her rooms where a stunning light blue floating dress. “Who’s with her?” Ron asked trying to get a better look. “Is that Victor Krum” Padma exclaimed. Indeed it was the 15 year old quidditch player extended his arm for Hermione to take it. “God I wish I was Victor, Hermione looks so beautif- I mean I wish I could go with an international quidditch player” Parvati blushed profanely almost slipping up. Before Harry could have a chance to think about what she had said professor Mcgonagall burst in and started waving all of the champions together. “I guess it’s time to go” Harry whispered to Parvati as they made they’re way to the others.

(This is the beginning, I don’t know if I’m going to continue this but it was really fun to write, also I chose to put the patil twins in sari’s bc I thought it would be cute if they’re aunt and mom sent them something they wore, plus sari’s are actually beautiful unlike those horrendous things in the film. Hermione has box braids because again it’s a beautiful hairstyle and I thought it would be unique and honestly why not make Ron more gender fluid. Harry’s robes are dark red bc Color theory and green eyes. So I’m also bad at spelling and grammar so if there are mistakes I didn’t catch I’m sorry I can’t catch everything. Anyway I hope you enjoyed it)
