im recently kind of getting into political consciousness so to chime in on the sakamaki / mukami politics discussion, i think ruki is the kind of guy who believes theory is separate / not inherently linked to action / policy which yuma disagrees with immensely since he's an organiser. i dont think yuma disagrees with theory or the need for education / frameworks but he thinks it is a major issue that most of it is inaccessible for the exploited classes in the demon world and europe and the entire world. he has like a lot of surprisingly in depth opinions and he's actually genuinely passionate about political consciousness while i think reiji and ruki treat it as ego stroking and power acquisition. and it does genuinely make reiji feel a bit uncomfortable if they end up getting to the "yuma schools these bourgeoise plebs about theory" part of the family dinners.
yuma doesnt bring up theory and debate much because he's not like insane. politics has purpose for him and he doesnt bring shit up just to make people uncomfortable (except sometimes ruki)
shuu nods along. he thinks it's very dreamy and attractive but he's never actually been a serious politics guy. he likes listening to yuuma talk about it though.
