hello! I love your dome roofs, but was wondering if you could please tell me where the windows with the greenery hanging down from them in the preview picture are from? and the moon object that hangs from the ceiling?

They are from the Ole Fairybulosa set. You can get the files from an archive here on @sims2packrat: https://sims2packrat.tumblr.com/post/638209023818235904/olemantikers-ts2-content-saved

Sorry to ask years after this was created, but For the Barnyard Bash - Ultimate Livestock & Poultry Collection, I have added the files that were required like the BB_Nooks And Niches & SunMoon-TimeOut, but for some reason I am still getting the blue flash with only the "Poultry Coop - Wicker" found in the Pets location in Build/Buy Mode. Any suggestions?

Avatar

Looks like the documentation for Wicker items was left out when information was transferred over to a new document. Thank you for pointing it out. It's been fixed now. You need the Dining Chair from Basketweaving 4.1.

In the future, if you have any flashing blue you can download this smaller cache of files indicated in the Quickstart Guide that are common textures sources for everything else if you don't want a whole new set. Recolor not included.

Deco Dome Roof

Honestly, I made this for me and a specific build…because I discovered that the dome shaped roof that the game provides you…DOES NOT HAVE A PROPER INSIDE. Which ruined all my plans. So I made one. Shingles on the outside, and a “mural” dome on the inside. Does anyone else have a use for it? No idea, but sharing it anyway. Move Objects needed for exact placement in some cases.

Updated 12-31-23

@niamh-sims asked about getting a completer set of sorts to the original size of my dome roof deco. She's a wonderful simming friend and beta tester for me, so I'm happy to grant a wish!

So now everyone gets the original size, now named Large, with updated description to indicate better how big of an octagon it fits, along with three more sizes Medium (3 Tiles Wide), Small (2 Tiles Wide) and X-Small (1 Tile Wide). The new sizes are of course repoed to the original Large. Like the original, you may need to use move objects cheats to get a refined position on top of your walls.

I've updated the original archive including some filenames for easier identification of the meshes themselves. Everything is compressorized, and NH enabled.

Color Trait Enabled Writing Quills

THIS IS A DEFAULT REPLACEMENT

Blatantly inspired by @episims who just made a pen one. We don't use pens in Medieval Fantasy Kitchen Sink Land, so I made one for colored feather quills instead! Sims with a color trait in their inventory will pick the corresponding quill. Works for doing homework, university assignments, writing a diary, filling crosswords, drafting, and restocking. With no traits in inventory sims will use the White Quill.

Based off on the DR done by Sunni which I recolored at one time, I've expanded the color selection and enabled them to work with @episims Color Traits. So you'll need those for this to work. You'll also need the usual trait mods such as Easy Inventory Check and trait_MAIN, which I assume you already have.

Since this file is based on episims' own, that means that you no longer need the Menaceman44's diary pen fix and it also works with their updated simlogical school files. See their post for more details on that.

mod idea: Wild Horse Spawner

Sun&Moon released the “Au Natural Pet Food Set” and “The Game’s Afoot Set”, which I really like. I thought, it would be nice to have a Spawner, that spawns wild horses, which sims can capture. Capturing a horse would be very exhausting. Success is based on their body skill. Once they’re successful, a mare, foal or stallion of Sun&Moon’s “Horsin’ Around - Horse Livestock Set” will be added to their inventory.

Hm...this is an interesting concept that I didn't think about at all but REALLY like. This could possibly implemented into the hunting set update that is occurring and also breeds possibilities for "domesticating wild animals" as well in a sense. You still hunt them...you just capture instead of kill.

Good idea! I'm going to throw it into the features to be considered pile!

Engagement and Wedding Ring Stones by Color Traits

This mod defaults the wedding ring with a new jeweled mesh and makes engagement and wedding ring stones appear in the wearer’s favorite color if they have a favorite color trait in their inventory.

If the sim has more than one favorite color in their inventory, the alphabetically highest will rule the color. Sims without a favorite color will have white stones.

Important! This mod is meant to replace the earlier engagement ring mod as well as pforest's version of it. Use one of the previous versions if you only want engagement rings to change color. With this mod, both engagement and wedding rings will change color.

The stone colors used in this mod for both rings are the ones from pforest's version. The new wedding ring mesh is also by pforest.

Download (SFS) (alternate) - the file is compressed.

Easy Inventory Check is required. The mod is compatible with the engagement ring mesh default by pforest. It can also be used together with txmt replacements for ring bands.

Technical info: the new wedding ring mesh is 927 polys. Many thanks to awesome @pforestsims for generously making it!

*SCREAMS* Thank you! I requested something like this a few months back and gave up on it. After a long hiatus it is absolutely lovely to come back to seeing someone made a thing I desperately wanted. Time to go chuck ALL other engagement/wedding band defaults and accessory clutter. No longer needed!

Checking In

No worries, I'm alive. I've just took some time to pretty much enjoy disconnecting from the internet while some life stuff was going on. The life stuff has been settled so that means I can turn my attention back to more frivolous things like modding for a 15+ year old game. I miss my computer and pixel people.

Hi! I downloaded your bathing instincts object mod and it's a lovely addition to my game so far! Only downside is that my child sims would autonomously start bathing in it which I don't want. Is there a way to make it so that object is only interactable for dogs? Thank you!

Easiest way would be to open the file in SimPE, go to the TTAB, select the interaction from the menu and then uncheck the proper age box. Commit and save, and that will disable it without needing to do anything else. May have to re-buy the items from the catalog.

Candle Making - Critical Fix

Completely forgot that Candle Supply Crates were tied to the fish crates, so when fishing was moved to 2.0, these crate textures are thus broken. Thank you to TeaAddict over at the Sun&Moon discord for pointing it out!

I did a quick fix that involved remapping and re-repoing the crates so that they now too use the Wine Cask as their texture source. Here I'm providing an individual hotfix file set of just the Supply Crates, but the main archive has been updated as well as of 9.4.23.

Flowing Fabrics

This set followed the simplified processes of turning wool all the way into garments for sims to purchase. They will have to collect, clean and weave wool into thread and fabric. If they'd like to take their craft a step further they can gather natural sources of dyes and extract them to then dye their fabrics. With access to fabric bolts they may make garments and if they also have access to materials such as tanned leather products and fur they can make a wider variety of garments.

This is one of the more intertwined and advanced Sun&Moon sets, requiring quite a bit of other sets to function. Please read the manual carefully to understand what is needed for all parts of production and smooth functioning.

Key Features:

  1. Wool Cleaning Vat - Clean wool to be spun. Produces Clean Wool.
  2. Wool Winder - Turn clean wool into thread. Produces Thread Spools.
  3. Standing Loom - Turn thread in solid sheets. Produces Fabric Bolts
  4. Dye Extractor Pot - Extract natural dyes from various plants. Produces Bottled Dyes.
  5. Fabric Dyeing Vat - Dye plain fabric. Produces Dyed Fabric Bolts
  6. Sewing Workspace - Turn thread, fabric bolts, tanned leather, leather strips and cured fur into clothing. Produces Functional Blankets and Wardrobe Grants.
  7. Functional Blankets - Main texture source for Sun&Moon fabrics moving forward. Functions as a radiator, allowing sims to warm up when their temperature is low enough.
  8. Wardrobe Grants - The end product of the process, these serve to be used by sims so they can add a garment to their wardrobes, simulating a purchase of an outfit or a self made finished project.
  9. Skilling Objects - Dress Forms; sims can gain charisma or mechanical skills.
  10. All Fabric Bolts come in 7 fabric textures and 16 colors.
  11. Display Shelves - Three varieties; Tall, Short, and Short With Shelf.
  12. Tools - A pair of shears helps with dealing with wool, thread and fabric and a botanicals book helps the dye making process.

Gone Fishin' 2.0

This set serves as both an streamlining update to the original files, as well as adds in being able to source items from the sea and to make productive farming situations as well.

Changes from Gone Fishin' 1.0

  1. Optimization of textures: most made smaller, many items repositoried.
  2. Food Points Amounts: All fish used to be worth the same amount of food points. Now they are varied depending upon fish size.
  3. All items unlocked in the catalog for purchase if so desired.
  4. Modern Rods included in separate folder - Shares GUIDs with simple rods; Choose One Type
  5. Converter Crates/Fish Stand have been converted to decorative (requested per beta testers) as their functions have been combined to a new station, they share the same GUIDs as the original versions.
  6. Filet knife has been eliminated from the set, as it's function has been put into the new station.
  7. NEW: Cleaning & Packing station; allows packing of fish crates and butchering of fish.
  8. NEW: Traps; Passive allocation of various fresh water or salt water creatures.
  9. NEW: Tidepools: Quick forage spots for various ocean resources
  10. NEW: Farming Tank: Make various fish, sea critters, and even seaweed renewable resources right at home. A glass recolor of BB Niches is included for making glass walled tanks.

Hello! I recently downloaded the awesome "Medieval Munchies" set. The "replicator" tray is not clickable/has no pie menu, however, and it does not appear that Sims will use it autonomously. This happens even with my download file emptied so the set is the only CC (aside from things like the CEP that stay outside the downloads folder). SimWardrobe's food replicator works fine for me. Is there something else needed to make the medieval munchies tray functional? Any help is appreciated!

Sims can only use this when they are below a certain hunger threshold. I believe it's 50% but I'd have to go back and look at the code. This change was made to keep sims from spamming it on community lots.

Hello, I was just wondering about your TOU. I know you don't want your files reuploaded but does this include with lots or Sims? Just want to err on the side of caution; I've seen many creators who consider lot/Sim packages a different animal from reuploading individual files, but I know others don't. Thank you!

Avatar

You mean my (Fractured Moonlight) files? Or do you mean Sun&Moon files?

If they're strictly Fractured Moonlight branded files, then you can include in lots and the like.

If they're Sun&Moon files, then please no do not include in lots or with sims.
