❄️ Day 11 of My Winter Studying Challenge ❄️

11th December - What is a cherished family tradition from your childhood?
i know that lots of people have them but for me i think it is advent calendars! i’ve always had a reusable advent calendar - basically a fabric one that my parents filled with chocolate each year - and i was always the only person i knew who had one like that instead of a paper one bought at the supermarket. the one i have at the moment is actually very special to me because it has all the pouches for the days but at the very top there are two big ones (basically for more chocolate): one for Christmas eve and - coincidently - my birthday!!! so i always get something extra in my advent calendar for my birthday!

🌾 Autumn Studying Challenge Day 27/40: Haunted house or Halloween party?
Halloween party! I've never been to a haunted house but I'm not sure if I want to. 😂

Some structures notes from recent lectures. It's actually not too bad so far and I'm enjoying it. Having great lecturers really help!

Hey guys! How are you all? Hope you had a great day. I revised English and Economics today. I am also studying Word Power Made Easy, one of the best books to improve vocabulary.

Hey guys! I’m so sorry I haven’t posted anything lately but school’s been quite busy and I’m trying to keep up with my school work. Yesterday, I had my first meeting with the mentor I’m going to perform research with, along with the other members of the lab. I’m really excited for it!

24th August - What three things would you take to your desert island?

My phone, a large supply of food and a blanket! ^-^

I’ve been getting back into journaling when I can and I found all of the neat stationary things I ordered last year. I’ll possibly post some spreads I’ve been working on soon!

I’m currently staying over at a friends house so that we can visit the city early today. It’s always fun to hangout with my best friend, we’ve known each other for a very long time so anytime we hangout it’s a good time! And her mom is like the sweetest person too!

Also it’s unfortunate but I’ll be starting fall semester in about a week so wish me luck. I feel very unprepared.

No idea why, but today I was a bit emotional and I could cry about anything that happened (if it was good or bad lmao). So yeah, I’m a bit of a mess today. Also, I’m breaking out on my face :(

I’m almost finished with my to do list for today, I only need to finish my exercises on IR spectrometry and then I’m done for today, but I’m saving that for after dinner. Now I’m going to relax a bit (and eat of course).

Have a great evening everyone!

(also the pdf planner I use can be found here)

(Original challenge post here)

First book of the reading challenge! "Red, white & royal blue" by Casey McQuiston was recommended to me by no other than the awesome @bulletnotestudies (and let's pretend I didn't start this book a couple of months ago, I finished it in the summer, that's what matters)

The book follows the story of Alex Claremont-Diaz, the son of the President of the United States. After an incident at a royal wedding, Alex has to pretend to be friends with the Prince of Wales, so as to not cause a PR crisis that could endanger his mother reelection. But what happens when that friendship turns into something more?

I really enjoyed reading this book, so much that I gave it 5 stars on storygraph. Even though I had to take a break from reading it because of uni work, once I got back to it I was completely hooked. It's fun, it's whitty, and I couldn't relate more to the bisexual disaster that is Alex. A book worth reading!

today's physics electrostatics notes

Would you prefer summer to be hotter or colder than it usually is for you?
I prefer summer to be hotter than it usually is (where I live). It's raining every single day here and I don't feel summery at all😞. But at least it's better than the place I used to live before. It was literally a rainforest there every season😂

Okie bye my math class started

Summer studying challenge:

12th July - What is the worst vacation you have ever been on?

Another one I’m not sure out to answer because I’ve never had any bad vacation per say; there were inconveniences sometimes, that’s all. There was the time the hotel staff was wrong and asked us to pay for a night we had already paid; there was the time I had to worst travel buddy… And currently I have some awful mosquito bites!

New week means new bujo spread. This one is quite simple but I like it!

Take care,

Laura

6th July - What do you usually do during the summer? Is anything different this year?
i usually go to france for the whole summer with my mum and stepdad. and then usually i would go somewhere with my dad - maybe abroad or maybe camping depending on the year. but this year is quite different cause for starters we literally have no idea when we will be able to go to france and everything is just kinda up in the air until we find that out. also i don’t think i’ll be going anywhere in particular with my dad. i think we might end up going away after the summer probably because now that i’m not in school, i’m not constrained by school holidays anymore

[June 24, 2021]

Hello there! It's been a while!

I may have been inactive, but I was far from idle! I've been learning languages such as Japanese, Korean, and German! Though it may have been overzealous of me to learn these languages all at once, so for now I'm focusing on German! (And a bit of Japanese on the side cause I can't help it)

I also may have consumed too much coffee than is allowed but coffee gives me dopamine and I am in dire need of that right now.

How ya'll doing? Is it summer for some of y'all yet?

7th July 2021

What did you do during the summer when you were a young child?
My sister and I usually made the annual visits to nani dadi ghar (grandparents' homes) and our cousin's house. Some years our family went vacationing to some new country or city! buttt saying all that our summer holidays fell right in the middle of the school year which meant a shit ton of homework and a group science project that I had to do before the end of it >:(

8th July 2021

What’s your happiest summer memory from your childhood?
ooooh okay so my cousin's owned this huge inflatable bounce house with a pool and slide so we used to set that up and play in it till the sun went down. After that we gorged on all the summer fruits like mangoes, lychees and watermelon ^_^
