I can’t stop thinking about how the coronavirus may affect people in the detention centers... Professionals are urging people to avoid crowds yet ICE is packing thousands of people, young and elderly, into prison-like areas with a dangerous lack of basic hygiene products. Just TODAY ICE arrested someone at a hospital in the middle of a PANDEMIC. Please keep these people in your thoughts.

I know lots of people know this, but prisons and concentration areas are hotbeds of disease. TB was a huge concern even when I worked as a guard in Louisiana about twenty years ago. You put a ton of people together in an area where the health access is seriously limited and you are essentially creating a human petri dish.

update of this post as of june 27th 2018

we just got notice that the next hearing regarding mom’s alimony is set for july 31st 2018. we have a little over a month to raise the funds needed for the trip, which is between $800-$1,000 dollars. i need an oil change, i’m five thousand miles overdue for one. we need to make sure we have I have my cellphone up and running for the trip, which is $45. because travel with the dogs hotels are always expensive, even if they’re crappier ones. last hotel we stayed in on a trip to SC literally was infested with cockroaches and because of the pet fee it still cost us $100 fucking dollars for the night. 

we also need to make sure we can pay our bills and get our meds on top of all this, which, with me being uninsured and having no help yet from any government agencies is a big bill. i still desperately need therapy, but i’m going to have to put that off until after this hearing, because any money i get right now has to go for this trip. we cannot afford to put this hearing off or not be there, my dad has not paid alimony in ten months

he owes almost eight thousand dollars in back alimony, and there’s no guarantee we’re gonna see a penny of that.

hey so apparently the government isn’t giving mom her money until after the weekend. the first is sunday and normally they drop it early, but i guess they’re fucking making us wait until monday or later for whatever reason. i literally have 3$ in the bank rn because both she and i needed meds. 

hey i’ve gotten no donations since i updated this post and i don’t think i can stress how important it is we have the money to get to SC for this hearing. 

im at 235 dollars of what we need to get prepped and able to go to SC, please keep helping. 

i only have three weeks to get to SC. there’s a good chance the alimony will get reinstated when we go. WE CANNOT MISS THIS HEARING PLEASE HELP.

apparently the movie is about a subversive group of black, brown and queer people (set in a future closer than cindy mayweather’s), who are labeled as “deviants” and have their memories forcefully erased. you can read about it here
