Pitti Uomo Imagine Florence Summer 2019/20

It is amazing fashion event. Last time when i was here it was 1994. when i did fashion show for Moschino. Lot’s of things changed and this event nowdays is  the world’s mega fashion show. So many brands , it is sometimes  overwhelming. Lot’s of memories emerged when i visited the booth of Karl Lagerfeld fashion brand. I was very happy to see that his legacy continues to live with the enthusiasm of the young talented people who carries on the high quality values.

Chanel Haute Couture Spring 2019

It was a calm and beautiful snowing day in Paris. Inside of Grand Palace, we found a real size Italian villa with a pool, cypress and palm trees. In his new collection, Lagerfeld looked to his beloved 18th century for inspiration. It was a beautiful show but Karl didn't come out to greet his guests! I knew something was wrong. It was Karl’s last Chanel Haute Couture Show!

"Today I’m so saddened to know that Karl passed away. When I think of him I always remember his kindness and generosity. I was very blessed to had the chance to work with him and be one of his favorite photo-model. He was truly an amazing artist, fashion genius and above all great person and friend. He worked hard with an unbreakable spirit until the very end.

Karl left big emptiness behind….." Adnan Taletovich

Ralph & Russo Spring Summer 2019 Haute Couture

“Vibrant and vivacious , this season’s collection is a celebration of Latin feminity and tribute to the stylish legacy of La Dona, the beloved Maria Felix, her daring sensuality and her spirit of fashion. The collection is rich samba  a la Mexicana of sixties pop colours , layered tassels, fringed skirts and wide brimmed sun hats, at once playful, alluring and reminiscent of the unparallel glamour portrayed by Felix and the stars of the Golden Age of Hollywood Cinema.

Exuding glamour , the Spring/Summer 2019 collection leaves spectators dreaming of a chic South American Summer. “

Christian Dior Haute Couture Spring Summer 2019

Part 2

“The circus is magical place. The imaginations of many artists has been stimulated by the fascination of the world that is both wonderful, raw and poetic.  .Christian Dior loved to go to the circus D’Hiver, where in 1955 Richard Avedon captured iconic photo Of Dovima and the Elephants, an image that perfectly evokes the beauty of haute couture. This collection consists of images from Victorian circus and the entire show was animated with performance of the all female circus company “Mimbre”...The circus is presented as a place of inclusion in which the clown through its androgynous and asexual dimensions, becomes the expresion of a possible eqality where the beauty, origin, gender and age are no longer important, and only technique and daring matter”

Part 1

New Dior Haute Couture show was held in Paris on Monday 21 January in Museum Rodin. This year theme was the circus which has been essential part of the Christian Dior story. Monsieur Dior regularly attended the Cirque d’hiver - and this collection was a rewriting of that chapter of its history with a super talented designer  Maria Grazia Chiuri.

“The circus is something that goes around the world and changes the city when it arrives. It’s like fashion week when arriving in Paris or Milan, it changes the atmosphere in town,” womenswear designer Maria Grazia Chiuri spoke about this new haute couture event.

It’s true, Paris is full of uplifting energy during the fashion week...

Women’s Fashion 1940-49

In Paris France, many fashion houses closed during the wartime from 1941-1945 including Chanel. In the same time, Germany was considering relocating French haute couture to Berlin and Vienna and it was taking half of the fashion production for the own use. In the USA and Britain, clothing was strictly rationed and use of fabrics was restricted. No more than four meters of fabric was permitted to be used for a coat and a little over one meter for a blouse. Most women wore skirts at or near knee-length, with simply-cut blouses or shirts and square-shouldered jackets. The combination of neat blouses and uniform-tailored suits became the distinctive attire of the working woman, college girl, and young societies.

By 1947, the Paris fashion houses reopened, and once again Paris regains its position as the world capital of high fashion. War look; padded shoulder, boxy line, and short skirts and uniforms were gone and replaced by a new fashion. A succession of style trends led by new fashion powerhouses: Christian Dior and Balenciaga defined the changing silhouette of the post-war modern women.

  •  Women’s fashion in the 1940 ties comes in two separate parts; first part from 1940-1946 and second from 1947-1949. Second world war events and military uniforms had a big impact and influenced fashion in a great manner.  During this time a huge percentage of the budgets were spent on war missions and gear for the military industry. These demands left the fashion industry with little to no material for production. In the UK as well as in the USA arrived restriction of amount of fabric that could be used in the production of the clothing. This limitation gave rise to modest designs but they were well cut, well proportioned and very stylish. The new creativity and the experience gained in the fast mass-production of military uniforms led to more practical and better-mechanized techniques of large-scale clothing production. Despite hard times during the Second World War, fashion defied all circumstances and survived as the industry. Vogue USA worked with a full power and had a significant impact on popular fashion and on the historical events. Fashion and Vogue magazine was the power of the free world and still is today……

Elie Saab Haute Couture Spring 2018 This is my second time to be invited to the show of Elie Saab , Lebanese fashion designer who's Couture and pret-a-porter collections became talk of the town. The first time it was in 2003 when he made the very first show of his first collection in Paris. I could noticed a huge progress. Ever since than he is rising star in a fashion world and favorite designer of many royal figures and celebrities and his show became a real spectacle. This year his Haute Couture collection was held in Pavilion Cambon in Paris. Collection was inspired by party time of the 1920 when Josephine Baker and Kiki de Montparnasse where starlets of the Folies Bergere cabaret and symbols of glitzy night life once upon a time in Paris.

Well, I rarely speak about the parties as I think that parties comes and goes, but this particular party, actually the Dior’s Masked Ball that took the place in Paris after Houte Couture show was the ultimate event. In a very surrealistic atmosphere mysterious masked Dior’s guests, fashion models and celebrities enjoyed fully this magic night. Only Salvador Dali was missing…….

Adventuryx in Paris Story 2

Adventuryx organized new “look book” photo shoot in Paris France, for a new collection 2018. We called several agency for the casting and our best choice was the Mademoiselle model agency. The direction and booking table of Mademoiselle agency were very friendly and very kind on the phone. It was very pleasant feeling from the first contact, so we both agreed to make casting. Just from the very first glance on the model’s “composite board” we knew we were in the right place. We already had some preference, but it was very important to meet models in person for fitting…..

“As the new fashion week approaches in Paris we are also working on a photo-shoot for a new Adventuryx collection. I’m very excited about our new project and to be director and designer of Adventuryx is an amazing journey.”

Christian Dior Haute Couture Spring 2018

Dior’s this year collection was held in Museum of Rodain in Paris and it was was the finest work ever seen from the talented Maria Grazia Chiuri artistic director of Dior women’s collection which was inspired by work and lifestyle of Italian-Argentinian Surrealist artist Leonor Fini women known as surrealist painter, designer, illustrator, and author, and also known for her fight for feminist rights and her sometimes strange surrealistic appearance. What inspired new Chiuri’s collection is  how Fini used clothes and extravagant headdresses to “produce” her identity. “She used her image to be powerful. Surrealism speaks about dreams and the unconscious, and often about women’s bodies. It’s very close to fashion.”
