anyways 2023 was kind of a mixed bag for me.
my career is amazing, and I've built a bunch of cool stuff. i'll get to lead a huge project starting in spring building a new ticket management service for the entire school. i presented at two conferences and submitted a proposal for another. i'm leading the largest cohort of mentors and mentees in the program's history. i'm really good at what i do and i'm getting a lot of recognition for it. my sister had a beautiful baby girl and i got to be there in the room when she was born.
but ozzie died in november and it's been really hard. my parents and sister are always fighting with each other and so angry. i haven't written anything in years. i didn't start diving like i planned, and i'm starting to feel squeezed by bad decisions i made when i was younger.
i told my therapist i want to focus on my personal life this year. i'm lonely. i want to do more with my evenings than watching videos and cross-stitching.
i am trying. i agreed to join a bowling league with some coworkers. i applied to adopt a new cat. i want to start journaling. idk if that's what i'm doing here, but i remember talking to people and having a nice time.

I was so excited to play Deliver Us Mars but I can't fucking stand Kathy. Her dad was a piece of shit and I can't connect at all with her feeling any ambiguity towards him & his actions. I'm barely an hour in & it's such a shit but I spent money on this so here I am dragging myself through glass to finish.
