Oooh, fun!

Here's 3 fun facts about Betty:

  1. She's left-handed
  2. Her hair is naturally pretty wavy/curly (I'm talking mostly 2c/3a). She sleeps with hair rollers not to curl her hair, but to actually tame it, turn it into softer curls that go the direction she wants
  3. Due to unfortunate circumstances I shall not get into for now, she was mostly raised by her Irish immigrant grandma, and has thus acquired a hidden skill of switching accents.
(PS. Everybody say your prayers for Pentious, winning the Irish granny's approval won't be easy with his Bri'ish (derogatory) heritage 😔)

Hazbin Hotel heaven headcanon

(Because, considering I mostly work with it in my art, I oughta fill in some blanks)

While there is a currency in Heaven, it's pretty much only used for goods and services provided by human souls. In order to prevent crimes related to income inequality and keep people happy, everything provided by the heavenborn (from housing to entertainment) is free, especially since high-ranking angels very much seem to be able to just will things into existence. (I guess it could also be supported by how in Helluva Boss, the cherubs offer their soul-saving work for free)

(Tbh considering that Emily is in charge of keeping people happy, I could see the price of an admission ticket to some event being a single smile, lol)

An actual swap, or perhaps just another one of Betty's fashion experiments... who knows!

I was torn whether to go with Betty's classic or alternate color palette for this, but when I showed in-progress pics to my friends, they universally said the alternate looked better, so here we are. Should I also release the classic palette version with sea greens and pink? 🤔

I don't really elaborate on my dislike of it publicly because it's not, like... morally reprehensible, and as such people who ship it are still welcome on my blog (as long as they behave), and I wouldn't want to make them feel bad about it. Posting a little early this time 🤭 Also, in case you missed it, I'm taking a 1-week break from the main comic to draw some other ideas. The comic will be back on May 11th, but you certainly won't be suffering from Pennylou deficit in the meantime 🤭
