I hope this new year has brought you health and happiness so far, and that it continues to prosper throughout 2023. The best news to announce is that our beloved MJ Watson will be celebrated for an entire week again, for the third time! I can’t believe it’s already the 3rd official MJ Week. This is an event that is so special to me, and I’m excited to share the new prompts with you for the year.
As always, this week’s purpose is to highlight the importance and depth of MJ, to emphasize her character as a whole person. The prompts are to encourage writers and artists and MJ-lovers of all kinds to express your thoughts and feelings through fanfics, moodboards, artworks, graphics, gifsets, etc.

Less than two months til MJ Week!
Hi! So I asked because I have an ongoing AU involving a very different MJ Watson, set in a hodgepodge universe. It's currently 14 chapters long and going strong (and is a very, very, very slow burn), and I was wondering if I could toss it in
To be honest, it’s not really my place to vet every single submission to make sure it’s “accurate to the source material” because let’s be real, there’s a lot of different sources that have different versions of MJ. As I said previously MJ is MJ and any version is fine if you follow the prompts that were posted. As long as you’re not harmful towards the character or your writing doesn’t reflect hateful language, you’re good.
Is MJ Week restricted to MCU version of MJ Watson?
Hey, thanks for asking! It’s definitely inspired by MCU MJ and I love using her photos for my promotions for the week but MJ is MJ in all Spidey universes, so any version is fine 😊

Hey everyone! I hope you all are having a great day! Here’s my submission for MJ Week 2022 – based off Season 1′s finale of The Good Place!
For Day Six of @mjweek: Figuring It Out
“You have 30 minutes,” Mr. Beck turns on a countdown floating above the four of their heads before crossing his arms and walking away as he continues to MJ’s bedroom, “because I won’t be returning to the Bad Place without two people.”
As soon as he disappears from the living room, MJ turns around to face a poor, hopeless Harrington. She scans his face carefully before he says, “All I wanted was my first neighborhood to be perfect. Now you’re all suffering. I’m sorry.”
Harrington steps away, standing quietly behind the clown-painted automatic doors to MJ’s bedroom, listening to the sound of the circus echo before leaving the four of them alone to make their final decision.
Reviving a WIP for Day 6 of @mjweek :))
Spider-Man was one of several vigilantes in the city, none of them really crossing her radar in all the years she lived there. Unlike Pepper, Michelle refused to engage with that side of her dad’s life at all - secretly terrified of what it could mean for her.
It had played a not insignificant part of why Michelle had rebelled so fiercely growing up, closing her eyes to try and chase the memories of the blur of those years - the anger and resentment that had fueled her for so long.
Michelle wasn’t that person anymore, hadn’t been in years. But as the city passed by, the car getting closer and closer to the Tower, Michelle couldn’t help but wonder what could possibly have been so important to her father today that he put himself in harm’s way.
“Miss Jones-Watson, you’re partnered with Mr. Thompson.”
Flash’s eyes found hers from across the classroom, and MJ gave him a curt nod to acknowledge their pairing. When his upper lip curled in distaste, she fought the urge to roll her eyes.
MJ was not looking forward to this.
