ren/cleo to me is when you hang out with a dear friend too long and you both have the same types of inappropriate humour so you start doing inappropriate bits for giggles, and it drags on until it becomes haha platonic flirting, and then it becomes dubiously platonic flirting, they don't really mean it but they can't stop, then at one point they go "fuck it" and kiss but it doesn't work out, they kiss again and it really doesn't work out, and they're both relieved and disappointed bc they had such a funny bit going on and it can't become real. so they'll just keep on having these inappropriate insinuations and haha platonic flirting haha [blows up]

Ren and False are so funny and so dear to me. Ren went diamond mining for 3 hours with the plan to hire False to consult on a river/bridge, didn't communicate this to her, instead said that he was planning on building a river/bridge for his stream in a way that sounded like he was doing this without her, and then got sad when she seemed put out by this and left. And now he's talking about how the bridge he needs to build is the one between the two of them :(
