You sigh happily as your plane lands in your hometown of Darien, Connecticut. “I’m home,” you whisper to yourself. Who knew a little girl from a tiny town from the east coast would be arriving home from her second world tour. You texted your boyfriend, Calum Hood of 5 Seconds of Summer, to tell him you’ve landed. 

You and Cal have faced problems with the media for all the time you’ve been together (which was about a year and a half). The distance between you two made your relationship even stronger, but you were excited to see him in a week. First, you were taking a detour to go see your family at home. You called him a bunch of times, but it just went to voicemail. Your boyfriend was a party animal, and he probably didn’t have his phone on him. You shook it off and went to bed. 

You wake up the next morning with a bunch of notifications on your phone. Some were messages from friends, but most of them were from Twitter. You open Twitter to see a picture of Calum with his arms wrapped around a girl… your Calum with another girl… You suspected it to be a misunderstanding at first, but scrolling through your timeline you saw leaked pictures of the boy you loved with another girl.. kissing her, hugging her, whispering in her ear. Already there were links to articles about it and trending on the top ten list was #WeAreHereForYouY/N and #CalumAndNia. You didn’t cry. Not yet anyway. You were frozen; completely paralyzed. You went to iMessage on your phone and started to send Calum screenshots of himself and Nia Lovelis, who just so happened to be his tour mate, but you stopped. “I have to go home. I need to hear it from him.”

After a long talk with your parents, they completely understood that you had to go home. Lucky for you, when you got to your flat Calum wasn’t there. You decided to pack up his things nicely and neatly. This was your apartment; you were standing your ground. You then printed out the screenshots you had of Calum and Nia and hung them up around the house. After you were done, you sat and waited. About an hour later, Calum stumbled in your door on the phone. “You sure you can’t come over? I promise Y/N won’t be here,” Calum was talking to Nia. This was when you cried. All this time you thought it couldn’t be true, but now that you knew it was, it turned into a completely different thing. You kept your composure going over to him. “Y/N!” He said hanging up the phone. “I missed you so much!” He hugged you tightly. Tears formed in your eyes as you realized that this would be the last time he ever put his arms around you. You fought the urge to hug him back with tears in your eyes. You pushed him away. “Look around asshole.” You said with your chin up. He then proceeded to look around the flat; at his bags packed and the pictures of him and Nia. He looked at you, teary-eyed. He tried to grab a hold of you to wrap his arms around, but you pushed him away. “I’m so sorry Y/N. I was lonely…” He trailed off. “Get out of my house. Get out.” You said sternly. “Does this mean you don’t love me anymore? You’re just gonna give up?” You stepped closer to him, touching his waist. “I love you. I always will. But that doesn’t mean that what you did is okay. And by the way, you gave up. We could’ve spent our lives together, but you wrecked it. You were the one who gave up.” A tear rolled down his cheek. “Now get out.” You said, pointing to the door.
