Hi! I have the same error of ratoelo: the objects from the childbirth mod are not showing up. I installed the latest mod, and placed in the right folder. Infact the hospital part works, but I can’t find any objects. The home birth is also not an option for my sims.
it sounds like you still have old versions of the mod in your mods folder, check again, not having home birth when calling the obstetrician is 100% caused by old files or old translations
I downloaded the mod and everything is working expect the fact that I can't find the equipments in build mode, what should I do?

I simply love the Home birth option it is terrific but whenever I am in labour and I call the midwives to come over they never arrive. The notification after calling says they will be there shortly but they never arrive. Am I doing something wrong?

HI, its either because you have an old version of the mod in your mods folder, an old translation file if you ever downloaded those, or have better build and buy but didn't check custom content in the search bar after installing.
Hi! I know you probably get it a lot but I really love your mods and animations that go with them! I hope you don't mind me asking and if its okay, but do you have any good blender tutorials or recommendations for people who want to learn how to make animations for the sims 4? I've tried looking around youtube and can't seem to find any good detailed ones; my blender version is 2.79 if that helps any. Thanks!
Hi there! 💗💗I dont know any tutorials unfortunately. But if you just want to learn to make animations you dont have to specifically look at sims4 animation tutorials, once you are familiar with the animation workflow and know how to work with IK you can easily transfer those skills to the sims4! The open beta sims4 studio now supports blender 3.3 animation, so you can use 3.3 to learn animation if you want!
Hello ! Sorry to bother but for me none of the objects from the Childbirth mod are showing up. I have installed the latest version (Home birth one) and I have the Get to Work pack but I cant find anyone mentioning this problem so I decided to ask. Do you know what might have gone wrong ? I have other mods and build cc that are working perfectly.

hi, if you can find the objects you either have old versions of the mod in your mods folder still, or didnt install the new version correctly
Hi! I have a very important question about your mod. So I am making an apocalypse au gameplay, right? And obviously these Sims are cut from midwife services and what not. So... can a Sim with a medical career take on the role of the midwife? And if not, can you please consider updating the mod for it to not require a midwife for the home birth to work?

Hi there! I downloaded your updated realistic birth mod and it seemed all was well except after the midwife is called and she says she’s going to be there soon… she never came. I also was never able to get them to cuddle in the tub or give the massage on the ball? The labor counted down 3 days and then at 0 nothing happened. I saved and exited and it started the 3days again when I went back in. 🤔 Any ideas? Thank you!!
Hi, make sure you download the newest update v3_2 https://www.patreon.com/posts/72894859, prior to v3_2 saving the game or leaving the lot will cause the dilation to reset. You need a birth partner to perform the cuddle and massage interaction, make sure to ask them to "accompany child birth". As for why the midwife isnt showing up, it's a issue that is currently being investigated, so far it seems like its either caused by mod conflict or issues with the household/save. if they refuse to show up even after V3_2 you can either have someone in your household join the doctors career temporarily to act like a midwife or invite over someone who is a doctor. And the in labor moodlet is not a representation of how long your sim will be in labor for, their dilation is! theres a cheat you can use to make them give birth immediate, you can read more about it in the instructions!

you need to have a birth partner near by, make sure to ask them to accompany child birth

I'm from the Philippines. I just downloaded this mod and it was totally awesome 👍 it does the animation while in labor. However, after I named the baby the animation will suddenly stopped and then it doesn't do any animation like cuddle the baby after. Also, the name of the baby will be suddenly change, I don't know why and the skin tone is changing when the baby is in the bassinet their skin tone is black but when they are carried by an adult sims they are turn into white.
Maybe you could help to fix it? Thank you in advance. Lovelots
Hi There! thank you for your kind words! for the animation issue, if you use Relationship and Pregnancy Overhaul by lumpinou it could be due to missing modules, you can read more about it here. https://www.patreon.com/posts/child-birth-mod-65526605 As for the naming problem that is unfortunately a known bug that I dont have a fix right now. The skin tone issue is likely caused by a bassinet cc or any cc that changes the baby's appearance
i’ve been waiting for the home birth update to your mod so i can use it with my decades challenge sims! i’m super excited to try it out. i was wondering though, for situations where maybe the father has died or something and isn’t around, and the mother giving birth doesn’t have another/new romantic partner, is there any chance you could make the birthing partner not have to be romantic? so a mom or sister could help instead. i’m really excited to try this mod anyway, thank you so much for sharing it with us ☺️
technically it can be any sim as long as they asked them to "accompany child birth", but romantic partner is highly recommended because of the kissing animation D : but I am working on animations that allow sims to give birth by themselves, so more birth animations are on the way!
The Child Birth Mod - Home Birth Update
The update is finally here! 😊
Public Release Oct 26th, 2022
This update allows your sim to give birth at home through water birth or bed birth
you can select ”Start Home Birth” once your sim is in labor
hospital early labor actives such as “take a walk” “breathing exercise” can all be performed at home
Your sim will get contractions once every few hours, doing early labor activities will help the contractions to go down quicker
a new early labor activity called”Cuddle With Partner” is added, a birth partner is required for this interaction to show up
You may "Call Midwife" once you feel your sim is close to giving birth. You may do so whenever you like, but keep in mind they charge 120simoleon/hr. You will get a notification and a midwife will show up at your door after a few minutes
You can get your dilation checked by clicking on a midwife.
This interaction can also be performed on any sim with a medical career
If you want to do water birth, you must purchase a birth pool from build and buy
make sure to leave plenty of space around it when placing it down, failure to do so might cause the bassinet to fail to spawn and yeet the baby into the middle of nowhere
If you want to do bed birth, you must purchase birth pillows from build and buy.
Bed Birth can only be performed with a birth partner, and Romantic partners are highly recommended because of the kissing animation
place the pillows on a double bed, make sure to leave plenty of room on the right side of the bed, the red rectangle indicates where the bassinet will spawn. If there are objects in that area or if the walls are too close the bassinet will fail to spawn and the baby will be yeeted into the middle of no where.
Hello, today I was browsing your page and noticed the little excerpt about how you got started with modding it was very interesting and inspiring, thank you for sharing! I am currently using your childbirth mod for historical/decades gameplay and it is quite fun (even though I don't have get to work). I am just curious if the homebirths will require that pack as well/if they require the surgery machine. Thank you very much for your hard work, people like you make this game worth playing :)

I have converted a toddler bed from the sims 3 to the sims 4, and I would like to implement your animations related to this type of object. I don't even know where to start to add the scripts. I don't want to bother you and if you can't help me it doesn't matter. I will leave the bed for decoration only. Sorry for my English.
