I need to sit down and really plot this. And figure out some slight conflict, but my man. This Megamind who hadn't met Roxanne before???

He's a whole kind of supervillian. Not more evil, just more. Impressive lol. Less distracted. Still goofy, but far more privately. Still caught in the idea of what is destiny, but hopefully a bit more hopeful?? More anti-hero-supervillan vibes haha.

Just was reminded that the movie Megamind exists, god that’s a good film. I’m so glad we live in the timeline where despicable me was the one made into an incredibly popular franchise that made society take away all the good stuff from the story and not Megamind. They were released like 3 months apart we could have lived in the dark timeline where society ruined Megamind. But we don’t and I’m glad. That movie doesn’t deserve a low budget cash grab sequel it deserves appreciation. The plot is so interesting, the characters are likeable for the most part it’s just. A good story.

Cause this was just. Very cool. This whole movie was awesome. Making Megamind an interesting and well developed character, making sure that the message was clear that not everyone is “good”. I love the way it makes Hal a villain because he’s the stereotypical “nice guy” trope that is actually very toxic and weird. Metro Man leaving to pursue something he is happy with and passionate about, but showing that hero’s are not always what you want them to be. The way Megamind grows and changes into a good person with a good heart who genuinely wants to and WILL do the right thing? Shows that change is possible and actively encourages it?

All of the subtle messages and stuff in this movie are so great. I feel like it got a good amount of hype and was appreciated an appropriate amount without everything going way too overboard (minion Facebook memes I’m looking at you)
