So once again, I’m so sorry but I’m asking for this post to get spread around. My friend and I are living in a Red Roof Inn, struggling to pay for food, bills, clothes, toiletries, etc. We don’t have a microwave or a fridge because we can’t afford the upgraded room. We just need a bit of help. 

So. I need some Help.

My friend Brittany and I (also named Brittany) are struggling to make ends meet. We’re currently living in a Red Roof Inn without a fridge or a microwave while we attempt to find a new, more permanent home. I moved here to Michigan over 4 years ago to live with my boyfriend. I left behind my family, my friends, my education, and my job to be with a man who I believed was going to eventually become my husband. I was financially dependent on him a good deal. I paid my bills and he paid the big ones like rent, electricity, and groceries. When we broke up, my life was turned upside down. Shortly after we split, he moved in his new girlfriend. I lived with them for months. I struggled to buy my own food, opting to go without most of the time so I could buy food for my dog or pay my part of the phone bill. I make under $10 an hour as a manager at CVS. My goal is to move to Tennessee to be closer to my family and get a better paying job so I can get back on my feet and be independent. The other Brittany is escaping an abusive and neglectful situation. Her previous home made her miserable and uncomfortable. It was impossible for her to grow in her environment; impossible for her to become an independent adult. Brittany and I work at the same store, in the same position, so she’s not in a much better financial situation. The money raised here would go towards food for the Brittany’s, food for Tanzi, clothing (for interviews and work), paying for the hotel room, and moving expenses to get one Brittany (or both) to Tennessee
