The last play I watched before the pandemic was a Beauty And The Beast adaptation and when Gaston proposed to Belle there was this little boy in the audience who yelled NOOO DON’T SAY YES, so when Belle naturally turned him down Gaston turned to the boy with his hands on his hips and said “well, now look what you’ve done”

YES - mrs. potts gets startled by some noise and a teacup gets hit off the table and her whole life flashes before her eyes and then chip walks in and looks at her and she’s like oh right
lumiere milling about and seeing a feather duster on the credenza and having the slightest 0.5 second thought to say “mon amour!” but then he remembers
cogsworth being alone in the library and it’s dead silent and he can hear a faint ticking and he shakes cuz he had ticking in his head for so long he got used to it
plumette picking things up as she dusts and not paying attention and the next thing she lifts from the surface top is a candelabra and she gasps and drops it on the table top suddenly. she stands there a moment and stares at it before lumiere comes up behind her, startling her again but warming her with kisses
cuisinier having to stand in the middle of his kitchen and reacquaint himself with all the appliances and cutlery, knowing he was an appliance not too long ago. feeling strange as he opens the stove to spark a fire for the next meal
chapeau taking guests’ cloaks and setting them on the coat rack, it squeaks a little. it sends shivers down his spine.
garderobe and cadenza sensing a strange air the first time they come back to the castle after their fabulous return concerts abroad. the piano sounds different to candenza, almost richer. when they step inside, they grab each other’s hands and feel some stinging sense that they really shouldn’t be that far apart.
