It is the best thing ever because it establishes that he knows she’s a Rebel and she knows he knows she’s a Rebel and he knows she knows he knows she’s a Rebel and—here’s the kicker—every moment she stalls him is another moment Artoo has to get the plans off the ship and head for Kenobi, and so she’s standing there all “Rebellion? What Rebellion? Me? *kicks dead Stormtrooper underneath carpet* I don’t know about any plans, have you checked behind the sofa?” and making Darth Vader’s blood pressure rise, and, oh, the best part of it is that she’s his daughter so guess where she got that sass from, like every fucking dead blue Force Ghost Jedi who got killed at the birth of the Empire is whooping and cheering from the Blue Force Ghost Afterlife seeing Anakin Skywalker get inflicted with everything they had to deal with from him.
You just know that enough people’s dying thoughts were, “I hope you have one just like you,” for the force to go, “this bitch deserves twins.”

Anyway, here's a helpful diagram. When I was hit on the temple this was one of the harder things I had to reteach myself. Don't be shamed into not asking questions, and it's alright if it takes you a while to figure it out. Don't let someone make you feel bad for learning new things, or relearning old ones.

My mom is not someone who cries easily. In the whole 4 years we’ve owned our cats, I don’t think she’s ever had a really intense cry in front of them.
The other day, she got bad news about her father’s health and broke down, fully sobbing. Both cats came running over from where they were napping to see what was wrong. One stayed guard by the front door and the other waited until she had calmed down to gentle tears to come over and crawled into her lap. When she told me the story when I got home that evening she said “they both just kept staring at me all concerned”
Ozai is so pathetic, like that “take his bending away haha he’s harmless now” trick would never have worked on Zuko, if you took his bending away he’d just grab his swords and come at you twice as hard, Azula doesn’t have swords or anything but she’s pretty good at hand to hand and amazing at talking her way out of problems, Iroh bust himself out of prison with no bending at all, meanwhile Ozai? Gets his bending taken away and then just collapses, doesn’t even try anymore, then just sits in prison and tries to get into Zuko’s head some more, he could have trained up and tried to break out too! But no! Bet he can’t break steel bars with his bare hands. Bet he can’t kick a steel lever in two. Bet he can’t even do a flip.
Also we never really see him do any really impressive firebending apart from when he has magic comet power, I guesss he shoots some lightning at Zuko, but that’s it and Azula is still better at the lightning thing. Azula has blue flames. Zuko can do firebreakdancing and bend with his swords. Does Ozai, who is not 14 years old, have blue flames? No he doesn’t.
He didn’t even do his coup himself, Ursa had to kill Azulon for him! Could have just challenged Iroh to an Agni Kai for the throne but he didn’t bc he knew he’d lose.
And then he only ruled for like 6 years! He lost a war that had been going on for 100 years bc of a bunch of kids.

“For the crime of giving the fruit from the tree of knowledge to the humans, and releasing evil into the garden of Eden we sentence you to pit you created!” The angels’ judgment was final and they reach for Lucifer to push him down, to cast him out.
“STOP!” Lilith threw herself at Lucifer to try and shield him from heaven’s wrath. “If he’s guilty, then so am I. I helped trick Eve, I helped trick Adam. If you’re going to cast Lucifer out for this then it’s only fair to cast me too.”
Eve left Adam’s side, pushing her way past the angels she stood in front of Lucifer and Lilith. She threw her arms out wide, “I am guilty of eating the fruit, am I not? Then cast me away too. Perhaps I did not know what I was eating but the crime committed was not the act of unknowing, for we would be guilty of that every day, nor was it the act of knowing, as you did not ban us from knowingly eating the apple. The crime was to eat the apple and of that crime I am guilty. Cast me away too.”
Adam could feel the apple still in his throat. It need not be swallowed for its knowledge of good and evil to be known.
“Fine, if you all wish to be cast into hell, then it shall be arranged.”
Adam voice was soft but clear, “why don’t I feel guilt?”
The angels turned to him. Sera in a surprised tone asked, “what are you saying, Adam?”
“Why don’t I feel guilty? The apple sits in my throat, yet I speak, yet I swallow. The evidence of my crime cannot be dislodged or hidden. I feel shame for my nudity standing here while you are clothed. I am angry and wish to strike out but feel shame and guilt over such actions. But I feel no guilt, I feel no shame for having been tricked nor for having eaten the apple. If the act was so wrong, why do I feel no guilt?”
Adam joined the others, “Eve? Do you feel guilt? For eating the apple?”
Her beautiful green eyes sparked up at him, “not a bit.” Eve looked back to the blondes behind them, “Lilith? Do you feel guilty for eating the apple?”
“For eating the apple? No. I don’t.” She no longer clung to Lucifer, lest heaven try to separate them. Instead she reached for Eve and pulled her closer, Eve grabbed Adam tugged him back. Lucifer wrapped an arm around his waist and squeezed.
“Where they go, I go.” Adam said defiantly to the angels.
He entwined his fingers with Lucifer’s the same as he had Eve’s and whispered, “and I think it’s time to go. Now!”
The four of them dashed into the garden. The angels might have designed the place, but the four of them lived in it. Adam knew every inch of the place, including the hole in the wall Lilith escaped from.
They didn’t need to communicate the plan. Lilith knew where he was going and they pulled their partners along through the thick trees with their even thicker canopy, the angels were unable to follow by flying and too unused to walking to keep up on foot.
As they reached the break in the wall Lilith asked them to stop. She broke off a thin branch of a tree and pressed it into Adam’s hands, “go first and take this. Eve you go next.” Lilith looked him dead in the eyes, “Protect her.”
Adam nodded, he would protect her, he would protect all of them.
He crawled through.
Earth.
It wasn’t that different from the garden but he knew the animals here would be as wild as the plants. “It’s safe.”
Eve came through next.
There was a small disagreement on the other side of the wall and Lilith was pushed through.
Lucifer flashed them the brightest, fakest, smile Adam had ever seen. “It’ll be okay. Run.”
So they did.
To Lucifer.
As Lucifer was yanked back the Adam and Lilith reached out and grabbed his arms.
“The humans might escape punishment, but you won’t. For disobeying God-“
Lucifer screamed.
“-You’re no longer an angel!”
Lucifer tumbled down through the wall. Angelic blood soaked the back of his robe. Six bloodied nubs where his wings used to be twitched.
Through the wall he saw clasped in a fist, Lucifer’s halo. The angels turned and fly away.
They couldn’t stay here.
Eve tore strips of Lucifer’s robe until he was as naked as them and wrapped them around the wounds to try and stop the bleeding. The pain was too much and Lucifer passed out.
Adam passed his weapon to Lilith and picked Lucifer up to carry on his back. “Let’s get going. We need to find water, food, and shelter before night fall. I’ll take the lead. Eve middle. Look for food. Lilith rear. Make sure nothing is following us.”
Lilith’s face was defiant, she never liked being told what to do. “Keep him safe,” is all she said though as they started out into the world.

Reading up on him, he was a pretty cool guy. He was one of the first people to stand up to John Money about his theories of gender development and position that intersex infants should receive surgery and never be told about it using his abuse of David Reimer as ‘proof’, asserting that Money didn’t have the evidence and standing his ground even when Money straight up started screaming at him. And then later he was proven right when he got into contact with David Reimer, not only discovering proof that Money was wrong but also how abusive and horrific Money had been. He then went on to write advocating for intersex and trans rights and to avoid unnecessary procedures on intersex people without full informed consent and that intersex people are part of natural human variation and that we deserve acceptance and not to be treated like a disorder.

I've read a bunch of fics, especially some crossovers, where Red Hood is or was on the FBI's most wanted list. A couple where he's on like the CIA's or Interpol's or something. But do you know what I'd find hilarious?
He's on absolutely none of them.
A big fanon thing, and sometimes canon (looking at you, No Man's Land), is that the federal government just kind of... doesn't get involved in Gotham? It's just left to it's own devices.
So combine that with both Gothamites-hate-outsiders and the idea that there are so many more/worse people to deal with than the crime boss who's somehow been bringing crime down, and, well. Sure, they have a file on the guy, but it's bare bones and nowhere near the top priority list.
Even funnier is if this is pre-reveal, so Batman doesn't know it's Jason that's running around taking over crime and whatever, he's just busy trying to find out who this guy who put a bunch of heads in a duffel bag is. He makes some small comment about it at some JL meeting and everyone is like, whomst?
Like sure, people outside of Gotham who do hear about Red Hood are horrified, but also it's... normal? Isn't that normal for Gotham? They all hear so many crazy stories coming out of Gotham that who knows what's exaggerated or not, but that's not even... that weird? Like, gory, sure, but... it's Gotham.
Just every outsider's views of Gotham being so skewed and/or biased that hardly anyone blinks an eye at some rising crime boss in the most crime-ridden city on the planet.

when doctors ask if i have any history of cancer in my family and i have to say that yes my grandmother had 2 types of gastrointestinal cancer and they're like oh wow okay so we'll keep an eye out for that but i'm like no it was probably just all the nuclear radiation and they're like ok hm ok what the fuck do you mean and it's very weird seeing the look on american doctors' faces when you have to explain to them that believe it or not atomic bombs were dropped on this earth 2 generations ago and it did have consequences
