I was trying to draw @huecycles’ Gaster design earlier but I didn’t feel well so all I managed was this. I really wanted to make it look half-decent but I just can’t get there. It’s SUCH a cool take and I’m obsessed with the idea. Gasterlotl,,,

the reception to this design is not what i expected lmao glad you like him! here's more old man
as for why he is an axolotl:
- the ears kiiinda resemble the gaster blaster build
- alphys is a lizard so i thought it would be cool if gaster was something similar to that
- skeleton gaster takes are cool but i don't like how common it is because it's just mysteryman without many changes
- aquatic, relating to "darkness = water" connection
- axolotls are amazing creatures, i think the regeneration aspect fits him considering he's dead but also "alive" being scattered through time and space
