and then it’s being re emphasised by 1) mara being white in that flashback in s1, 2) catra aka main (initial) villain aka someone who has animal features being darker skinned as compared to adora 3) them kinda obviously trying to save face by making mara a poc, 4) giving mara fucking blond hair! and a spray tan! and blue eyes! like. really really aggressively eurocentric standards of beauty! bro it has like zero significance to plot or lore or whatever it’s just really offensive and useless.
