so what a wild ride, huh? I know I haven’t been active for quite some time now and I’m sorry for that. Life has sort of hit me all at once and this year has been a trying one to say the least, as I’m sure its been for all of us.

The show is back tonight and normally I would be ecstatic to finally get to escape back into that world, to see blarke pLaToNiCaLlY look at each other and think about the 700 fanfic ideas it inspires. But unfortunately, that excitement isn’t there this time. And I’m not sure if it’s because I’ve spent so much time away from fandom, or because the showrunner proves time and time again that he’s a piece of shit. Probably a bit of both.

So anyways, all this to say I probably won’t be watching this season. Or, if I do, it’ll be clips on YouTube. I’m done giving Jason his free promotion when he clearly does not care about his characters or his plot, but instead his own continued career and shitty writing. He doesn’t care about the fans— and yes, I know this fandom can be a bit feral at times, but it’s no different than any other fandom from what I’ve seen. He doesn’t care about the people on his show. He cares about him and his own success. Nothing else. And I’m sick.

Maybe one day I’ll come back to this blog. Or back to writing fanfic. But for now, I think I’m done.

I have had so much fun being in this fandom with you all. This has been a place that has given me so much, I’ll never be able to express how grateful I am. I’ve loved making real life friends through this, getting to write for you all, and read/love your art. I don’t think there will ever be another Bellarke for me. So thank you for letting me yell with you on this hellsite. Thank you for tagging me in your BFSN’s. Thank you for your fanfic, your gif sets. Thank you for your friendship.

I should have added the disclaimer that if you still love the show, that’s totally okay and don’t let anyone make you feel bad for feeling that way! I’ve always said that we are entitled to feel how we feel, even if it’s not the “norm” or what’s popular, and although I’m on a different side than I used to be, your feelings are still valid!

Wow, I can’t believe we’re at the end of the year/decade. I’ve met so many absolutely wonderful, talented people on this site and I really want to show my appreciation for everyone. Thank you for putting up with me falling in love with new fandoms like constantly and thank you for continuing to support me. This year, in particular, has been full of big changes, I got my braces off, I graduated from high school, I started university (and first semester of first year went very well!)

fic prompt raffle!!

so my bff has a service dog, Quincy, who is the Best Boy! but who has recently developed severe anxiety and needs additional training. it is very much impacting his ability to do his work, which is further upsetting him. overall a very unfortunate situation. we are raising money for a behavioral specialist who will help him manage his anxiety.
